Founded in 2955 amid rising instability across the Stanton and Pyro systems, The Equation Group has emerged as a response to two converging threats: unchecked corporate expansion and the resurgence of organized piracy. Where governments offer bureaucratic hesitation and traditional mercenary outfits sell their loyalty only to the highest bidder, the Equation Group aligns itself as a principled alternative—autonomous, adaptive, and committed to restoring equilibrium.

Rather than operate as a traditional PMC, The Equation Group structures itself as a Strategic Operations Collective, composed of three interdependent branches which serve to adapt and assist in achieving your goal(s):

Militant Division
Focused on tactical intervention, convoy defense, and precision disruption. These operators are trained not for conquest, but for correction—engaging only when imbalance threatens civilian stability or trade integrity. Operating in ground, atmospheric, and space level events. They are the front line scalpels necessary to achieve victory.

Engineering Division
Specialists in infrastructure repair, field fortification, and adaptive systems deployment. They orchestrate and enable the new construction of various types of emplacements and facilities, as well as rebuild what others destroy, often arriving in the wake of corporate extraction or pirate raids to restore functionality and resilience.

Logistics Division
Masters of supply chain restoration, autonomous resourcing, and tactical provisioning. This branch ensures the support of frontier settlements abandoned by profit-driven entities and resupply to those in ongoing disputes with rival factions. They also work to insure The Equation Group’s self-sufficiency and autonomous ability to respond and deploy anywhere at a moments notice.

Together, these branches form a modular force capable of responding to crises with nuance—not just firepower. The Group’s operations range from stabilizing trade routes and reinforcing neglected outposts to quietly dismantling exploitative corporate installations and intercepting pirate networks before they gain foothold.
