Welcome to the Ra’van Alliance!

We are a galactic-spanning exploration and freelancing firm dedicated to tracking down, detecting, marketing, and even donating rare, alien, and sometimes unknown artifacts found throughout the hidden corners of our galaxy. We find the stuff of legends!

History

Our tale beings many solar cycles ago…

Circa 2926

FOUNDATION
A small group of economically-minded archaeologists and investors meet to discuss a lucrative business proposition regarding the finding, analyzing, and selling of rare and ancient galactic artifacts as well as ancient locations hidden on far away or untouched worlds. The group forms under the name Greater Terran Exploration Conglomerate™. GTEC proceeds to scour UEE space for the whispers of artifacts that could yield great fortunes. Their days were good and full of plenty.

Circa 2928

ESTABLISHMENT
GTEC has grown from several small archaeologists to a fully-fledged exploration firm recognized as a highly successful UEE Corporate Start-up. GTEC has found over 100 rare and ancient artifacts and over 24 ancient locations on over 9 different worlds and has accumulated a small fortune. The exact figures are so far unreleased – original GTEC investors have blocked all proposals to trade publicly. Many assume GTEC has accumulated wealth beyond any UEE citizens’ dreams and do not wish to share with the UEE. There are rumors that GTEC has begun trading on the black and red markets, though GTEC firmly denies any such allegations, and points out the fact that they had begun donating found cultural artifacts to their designate worlds prior to any of these rumors surfacing. GTEC has calculated their combined contributed value (aka lost profit) from donated artifacts equals approximately one hundred and fifty-seven billion ($157,000,000 UEC)

Circa 2929

GROWTH
Due to the significant need for the transportation and protection of artifacts both small and massive to collectors, governments, and the open market, GTEC begins to recruit skilled pilots, mercenaries, and contracted companies to move and defend GTEC’s interests throughout the galactic trade lanes. Eventually GTEC absorbs all contracted equipment, staff, and companies into its Conglomerate, finding a lucrative niche in the transportation and protection division. GTEC begins working directly with various starship manufacturers to design and develop advanced wayfinding systems such as hyperspectral scanners for sensitive jump-point detection and high-orbit sub-surface omnidirectional substrate scanners for the detection of structural anomalies behind a planet’s surface – key in locating ancient hidden or buried cities ripe with rare items.

Circa 2930

DEVASTATION
As of 0438 hours on March 12th, 2930, the GTEC publicly announces the loss of over 98% of the fleet, assets, and personnel including key members of the Conglomerate during a high-value expedition through an unregistered jump-point. The GTEC did not release additional information to the public, only that the two remaining members of it’s organization, Directors Chris Shourai and Jordan Solaris, survived and have been working directly with the UEE and it’s military to investigate the mysterious incident. Within one week the GTEC declares bankruptcy. On March 29th, the UEE Advocacy makes a public announcement that preliminary investigations found no criminal act or fault involved and they are officially labeling the fleet and all personnel as missing.

On June 6th, Directors Shourai and Solaris quietly excuse themselves from GTEC, dissolve its corporate intellectual properties, and put up it’s remaining assets on the market for liquidation.

On June 7th, Shourai and Solaris make a public announcement that the former GTEC has been bought out and acquired by the Etherium Holdings Corporation and given Shourai and Solaris unlimited funding and control over the continued exploration and finding of ancient artifacts and locations. Rumors spread quickly that Etherium with the help from Shourai and Solaris begin a mass-scale search and rescue operation for the missing members of the former GTEC. The rumors are unsubstantiated. Etherium locks down all marketing and public relations and goes quiet for the better part of a year.

February 26th, 2931

Chris Shourai and Jordan Solaris quietly announce the formation of the Ra’van Alliance, an organization dedicated to exploration with branches in shipping, alien tech acquisition, and mercenary protection for related exploits. Etherium makes no public announcement or acknowledgment of the Alliance or Shourai and Solaris’ current standing with their company.

Charter

Ra’van Alliance Charter of Rights and Freedoms

Your Rights

Every member of the Ra’van Alliance is granted the same respect as every other member. Regardless of your rank or position in this organization, you will be treated properly and without any form of prejudice or judgment. Your membership is greatly appreciated by the Ra’van Alliance and we value what individuality you bring to us, including your ideas, your opinions, and your efforts.

The Ra’van Alliance recognizes and provides to you several fundamental rights as a member of this organization. If another member of this organization violates these rights, or you violent another member’s rights, either temporary suspension from the organization or termination will occur:
  1. Right to be free of derogatory, defamatory, or bullying comments towards your race, age, sex, sexual orientation, real world political views, personal appearance, economic status, or geographical location.
  2. Right to worship whatever deity/deities you see fit, and to practice your devotion in public so long as it does not interfere with another member of the organization or your own duties within.
  3. Right to have your voice heard and not be silenced by any member of the organization from the bottom to the top, unless your spoken word is in violation of any Right herein, or unless your voice is a direct insubordination to a legal order given by a superior office.
  4. Right to retain all property that was obtained by your independent actions that were or are not associated with your direct participation in any organizational activity.

Our Expectations

The Ra’van Alliance expects that as part of this Organization you have a deep love for hunting the galaxy for rare artifacts and hard to find information, objects, or people. It is our goal in the Ra’van Alliance to provide the best in black-market and grey-market products and occasionally services that do not affect the lives of others. What we mean by this is while we fully endorse the transport of contraband or information (truth is meant to be free) we do not look kindly on slavery or indentured servitude in any form. Freedom for the People is a universal belief we hold and anyone found contradicting that belief will find a swift kick in your rump on the way out the airlock (planet side of course!)

Frequently Asked Questions:

Am I allowed to join another Organization?

Yes, you are. While you will likely not be promoted very far in this Organization if we are only an affiliation and not your primary, you are more than welcome to join any organizations you wish. The only caveat to this is you will not be able to retain your membership with the Ra’van Alliance if you join an organization that promotes, supports, presents, seeks, or otherwise interacts with elements of slavery.

How often do I must “work” with your Organization?

At this time the Ra’van Alliance does not have a specific amount of time you must devote to the organization, however, we will be scheduling required training, seminars, meetings, etc for various members of a specific rank. You will only be promoted in this organization if you are dedicated to it in some form or another (effort comes in various shapes and sizes). Members who are seeking promotion will be required to sign a positional contract that will outline their duties and responsibilities. Failure to adhere to these will be cause for concern.
