A beacon for the forgotten. A shield for the weak.
The Everlight was not born from power, wealth, or military ambition.
It was born from abandonment.
Across the neglected regions of Stanton, countless settlements were left to suffer beneath corruption, criminal violence, and corporate greed. Food became scarce. Medicine disappeared. Entire communities were forgotten by those who promised protection.
Raiders and slavers preyed upon the weak without fear of consequence, knowing the right bribes and connections kept authorities blind.
For years, the people endured.
They were robbed, exploited, kidnapped, and sold while the powerful looked away.
Though the settlements often outnumbered their oppressors, starvation, sickness, and lack of equipment left them powerless to resist.
Until the day they chose to fight back.
During what should have been another routine raid, the criminals attempted to take the entire settlement for transport into slavery. Knowing death or chains awaited them either way, the people rose together with whatever they could wield — tools, scrap, stones, and broken machinery.
The raiders underestimated them.
Many innocent people fell that day, but the survivors overwhelmed their attackers through unity, desperation, and sheer will.
From the fallen raiders, the survivors seized weapons, armor, medicine, supplies, and their ships.
But more importantly, they reclaimed hope.
In the aftermath, the survivors realized a painful truth:
No one was coming to save them.
So they made a pact.
They would become the shield they never had.
They would become a beacon for those abandoned by the powerful.
They would stand against slavery, exploitation, and those who prey upon the weak.
From that moment on, they became known as The Everlight.
As years passed, their numbers grew. Some they rescued joined their cause. Others spread stories of the glowing blue insignia that arrived when all hope seemed lost.
To the forgotten, The Everlight became a symbol of survival.
To their enemies, a warning.
The Light Endures.
We believe no civilization can call itself just while its people are left to suffer in darkness.
The Everlight stands for those abandoned by corruption, ignored by the powerful, and preyed upon by criminals who believe fear grants them power.
We reject the belief that survival belongs only to the wealthy, armed, or connected.
We believe strength means nothing unless it is used to protect others.
We will defend civilians, escort the vulnerable, oppose slavery and exploitation, and bring hope to systems where law and order have failed.
Though we are armed and prepared for conflict, we do not seek conquest, tyranny, or oppression.
We fight because too many cannot.
We endure because too many were abandoned.
We stand united so others do not stand alone.
We are The Everlight.
The Light Endures.
