Since the dawn of time civilization has been on an endless journey of advancement and progress. However, during such times there have always been individuals who have not fit the mold and, rather than being discarded, have banded together to make their own way. Such it has been and always will. It was this recurring pattern that gave birth to the Force Corp in early 2013, far away in an exotic, sun baked land on the west coast of a large continent tucked away on a forgotten planet, two like minded groups of outcasts came into contact with one another and discovered a common cause. These founding members brought forth ideas and thoughts best left unspoken in this harsh and unforgiving totalitarian society and laid the groundwork for a band of men and women who wished to abandon the machine called civilization for a single purpose: a silent brotherhood of comrades eschewing traditional thought in favor of results. One for all and all for one.
Welcome to The Force Corp, where each day brings new opportunity!
The Force Corporation Manifesto (Q/A)
Q: What does Force Corp do?
A: Force Corp operates through a small number of members (<50) who reach out to individuals (contractors) looking for work. We make money through mining, surveying, bounty hunting, exploration, smuggling, trading, and scavenging.
Q: How do I join Force Corp?
A: You can join Force Corp if you meet the requirements and then apply (via our website: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/orgs/FCORP) we then will decide whether or not to take you on as a member. Contractors who are not interested in becoming members right away can apply the same way, that way we know who is interested in working along side us.
Q: How is Force Corp different from any other corporation in Star Citizen?
A: Force Corp is fundamentally different because we believe in the strength of a smaller tighter knit group. We don’t like the idea of corps/guilds/squadrons that favor overwhelming firepower and a vast fleet, a group like that can only result in players not getting the recognition they deserve. In Force Corp if you work hard and are dedicated then you will be appreciated and appreciation comes in the form of money, promotions, ships, upgrades, and most importantly praise and admiration from fellow members. We want members whose rank is based on ability rather than if you own an Idris or not.
Q: What else makes Force Corp better?
A: Well for starters Force Corp doesn’t rule over you with an iron fist. We believe that players should have freedom, freedom to design their own missions, freedom to govern themselves and their own ships. If you want to do something you can do it as long as it benefits the company. If you design a mission then you too can choose the pay scale.
Q: Does Force Corp operate within PVE or PVP?
A: Either one, whichever you want.
Q: What time zones does Force Corp operate within?
A: We operate in the North American Time Zones, from Eastern to Pacific. We are accepting of anyone from anywhere but keep in mind most of Force Corp may be on at a different time than you are.
Q: Is there any cost to join Force Corp? Are there any dues?
A: There is no cost to join Force Corp. There are also no dues other than a small percentage which is sliced off profits in order to help fund the company.
Q: How does promotion work in Force Corp?
A: Promotions are based on the effort you put in and if you showcase your skills. A superior officer will take note of your abilities (this happens more often than you’d think) and informs the Council, once the Council approves then you are promoted to the new rank and you will be informed of any new responsibilities.
Q: How are elections handled in Force Corp?
A: When a member leaves or resigns or wants a change of scenery the Council will hold an election to choose the player who will take his or her place. To be nominated a buy in process will take place where you pay for a nomination, all money from buy ins will go into the company fund. The buy in price will be based on the rank of the position sought after. Once a member honorably resigns from a position they will be gifted the cost of the current buy in price for their position.
Q: I’m a lone wolf but I want to have the backing of a corporation behind me. What can Force Corp offer me?
A: We have some special roles for individuals like you. We can talk more and see what is available that will fit your play style. When you apply please make a note of this on your application.
At Force Corp we believe everyone has unique talents they can lend, we believe in a small tight knit group of players, we believe in helping out others, and most importantly we believe each day brings new opportunity.
The Force Corporation is a self policing organization. Members are encouraged to abide my the laws of the systems they are operating in and if a member is caught violating those laws with substantial evidence to back it up The Force Corp will punish those members severely.
Force Corp has no restrictions on places our members can operate. Force Corp puts no restrictions on member missions or operational purpose so long as they are operating legally.
The Force Corporation is fiercely independent from any other operating entity. We are a small group and our independence and our ability to self police are our greatest strengths. We do not threats or bullies lightly, we will not hesitate to contact the proper authority should another group seek to limit our operational area/corporate rights.
Everyone in Force Corp is an equal, however, the Founder’s Council will be called into action when decisions need to be made regarding Force Corp as a whole, or if a high risk high reward mission is to be considered. Mission creators will be given the chance to decide the terms of the payout, how it is split, and who will be participating in the mission. Just a reminder that terms should be generous or else other members may not join you.
