History
Starting from humble roots…
…delivering cargo and freelancing, Federation of Liberty has seen operations expand exponentially.
Starting out with a few basic craft and providing excellent service with proven ability to get the job done, customers began to want more. With increased demand, like-minded entrepreneurs partnered together, and FOL was subsequently formed. Initially there was a shift into the mining industries, and transport of raw materials. Shortly afterwards, a desire to reduce costs, bump profit and control more of the end-to-end process lead to expansion into engineering/manufacturing, ownership of nodes, with a solid military/support presence. Charged with not only business improvement, but with keeping the freedoms of all citizens – professional bounty hunting and protection services were added. More recently, exploration for development opportunities, and high volume trade to and from distant systems has became a focus.
What exists now is a corporation know for reliable service, quality products, and a brand which citizens believe in.
Manifesto
The Federation of Liberty stand for Freedom. Freedom to follow your dreams of developing a successful enterprise, of exploring the vastness of space, to protect and support those in need, and make a bundle of profit while doing so.
Our motives and stance is largely lawful, but there is flexibility for ‘innovative’ strategies to further our business goals. We view the stars as a universe of opportunity, and want to support you in making a slice of it your own. Economic focus through mining, engineering, transport, exploration and trade will be the backbone of our corporation, and of course sound protection and ‘strategic intervention’ will support all our operations.
Charter
Liberty is what we stand for, so there are few rules to abide by. However, a code of moral ethics underpin who we are. We are about people, and value each member as they are.
Our code:
1. Respect and support fellow members of FOL
2. Keep the image of FOL in good repute and standing in all situations
3. Abuse will not be tolerated
A note on point 2: In situations where business goals require tactical actions that may be less-than-lawful, this is allowable in moderation. But the manner in which you carry out these actions is important. Do not abuse, or repeatedly victimise inferior targets. We are here to help and protect others in their time of need.
