As Star citizen’s getting closer to the simulated universe Chris Roberts planned, the game is starting to radically differ from the mainstream MMOs.

I asked myself this: What do I want from my life in the verse?

1. Join a massive populist org & tag along fulfilling the ambitions of your higher ups risking your assets in wars you have no personal stakes in without recognition among the countless players? – No?
2. Join a very specific role playing org such as; space truck simulator org? – No?
3. Try forging your own destiny among the stars doing what pleases you? – Almost. Getting closer now.

-I wanted my existence in the verse to be meaningful, personal and unique. I want to build a life within the verse.
To explore, settle and invest myself on this virtual life we’ve been given, possibly even help other people.

What I needed was a purpose and means to support whatever I decided I wanted to do and the answer came to me:
The Freeport initiative. A neutral nation and a positive influence on the star system.
To many it can be just another R&R rest stop, maybe an interesting location to visit or a “home away from home”, but to us it is what we will build it to be.

The F.P.I is a new organisation striving to become a big independent colony nation one day. We are governed by a council of esteemed citizens rather than a singular leader, to ensure that our nation remains neutral.

We are recruiting anybody interested in the initiative. We have the ships. We need the players.
All types of players are needed as long as you’re positive and willing to help us in this monumental task and we’ll provide you your own place to come back to whenever that may be.

To become a full citizen of the Freeport all we ask is your contribution in either military or Industrial career for the colony and with citizenship you will gain the protection of the Freeport Defense Forces to your own plot of land within the colony.

Our leadership is split between multiple council members deciding the best courses of action for the colony to take such as budgets and ship acquisition with the citizens having their own right to vote on the alternatives given to them by the council, with the exception of urgent matters of warfare. If the colony’s security is at risk, quick reactions must be taken that override the council’s consensus and leave the Colony’s war fleet flexible to respond.
