The Galactic Arts and Sciences Museum
A fully funded organization, seeking affiliates to enhance our collection of
works of art and advancements in the sciences.
History
Sentience is our great burden, and our great gift.
Founded September 2948, Earth.
Our immediate objective post-launch will be to secure an appropriate location to house our collection. We are currently in the review and planning stages with UEE land offices, searching for the perfect destination spot that will be both convenient to travellers of all species yet unique in character and geographic splendor. Several planets have already expressed interest in supporting this endeavor, including Tangaroa, Yulin III, and Saisei, and we will begin the final selection process in the coming year. Stay tuned to this page for future updates.
The institution is planned to encompass several buildings on a roughly 200 km2 plot, serving as an attractive tourist destination as well as corporate and social venue.
Planned amenities beyond the extensive indoor exhibition galleries include:- Outdoor sculpture gardens
- Rotating special programming
- AV / AR theaters
- An intimate performance space to accommodate up to 100 guests
- Facilities for corporate meetings & functions
- Haute cuisine dining as well as casual cafe-style settings
- Expressive ornamental water features (dependent upon local geography)
- Capacious and beautiful landing zone
- And of course, a one-of-a-kind gift shop!
The design team behind the project includes the firm of Chipperfield-Calatrava-Hadid Atelier Architettura , Crusader Industries’ Specialty Prefabrications Unit, and renowned virtuoso of form Celedine Mayakovski in the role of senior design consultant.
Once our flagship location is up and running, we will of course be aggressively expanding our collection. In the meantime, we welcome all inquiries from intrepid explorers, private collectors, living artists, reclamation specialists, archeologists, and maverick scientists out there on the cutting edge. Manifesto
Sentience is our great burden, and our great gift.
Without art, society would become immeasurably poorer. We would no longer be able to see the world through the eyes of artists, or experience how art can make us think differently — and reflect critically — about our own experience of being, within the context of the larger universe. Our ability to decode images would be compromised. No longer would we be exposed to artworks that alter our perceptions and shift our understandings of the everyday.
Artworks allow us to move across time and space, enabling us to imagine future models for living and to experience a deeper relationship with chronology.
Artworks can help us reflect on our place in time, and open gateways into other dimensions. Provoking contemplation about our relationship with the past, art can highlight our potential to impact on the present and the future.
The Galactic Arts and Sciences Museum endeavors to curate, collect, and present such contributions to the arts and sciences that fulfill this ethos of the idiomatic expressions of beings in this verse.

Charter
To preserve the past, define the present, and educate for the future. Our
collections present the material evidence of the creativity of all galactic beings
and the riches of the natural world; they inspire, enthrall, and enlighten.
The measure of a museum’s success should not be its ability to represent a state, a nation or company, or a particular history or even species; it should be its capacity to reveal the achievements of expression.
