✨ “From Ocean to Orbit, from Stars to Systems.” ✨
Long before the discovery of the first jump point in 2271, Britain had already earned its place among the great seafaring nations of Earth. From the daring voyages of Drake and Cook to Shackleton’s endurance in the frozen wastes, the British spirit of exploration was forged on the waves and the ice.
When humanity broke free of its homeworld, that same spirit endured. British crews served among the first explorers of Sol, and later aboard expeditions that carried humanity into the wider UEE.
The founding of the Guild of British Explorers (GBE) was a continuation of this tradition — a society dedicated to carrying Britain’s legacy of discovery into the furthest reaches of the 30th century.
“Per Aspera ad Astra – Through hardship to the stars.”
The Guild of British Explorers exists to honour the past and embrace the future. Our role is to push the boundaries of known space, to preserve knowledge for those who follow, and to represent the long tradition of explorers who refused to turn back when faced with the unknown.
Our Mission • Chart the Unknown: Discover and record jump points, planetary bodies, and anomalies across the UEE frontier. • Preserve Knowledge: Maintain the Guild’s archives as a trusted repository of stellar maps, scans, and navigational data. • Support Expansion: Aid settlers, traders, and organisations by scouting safe passages and identifying valuable resources. • Carry the Torch: Keep alive the heritage of explorers past — from Earth’s Age of Sail to the dawning Age of Stars.
We are not soldiers or profiteers. We are pathfinders, archivists, and navigators — driven not just by profit, but by curiosity.
As members of the Guild of British Explorers, we pledge ourselves:
✦ To uphold the values of exploration: courage, curiosity, and integrity.
✦ To safeguard and share discoveries within the Guild, strengthening our collective knowledge.
✦ To honour our heritage as explorers of Britain, carrying that legacy proudly into the 30th century.
✦ To support our fellow Guild members, standing as brothers and sisters in the pursuit of discovery.
