History

Founded: 2947

Galactic Commerce & Freight LTD, commonly known as GCF, began operations in 2947 as an independent freight company based out of Stanton. Its founders were former independent haulers who had spent years running cargo between the system’s major commercial hubs, including Port Tressler, Everus Harbor, Area18, and Orison.

GCF was established on a simple observation: while the major corporations controlled the most profitable shipping contracts, there was always freight that needed to reach places those corporations considered too remote, too risky, or simply not profitable enough.

GCF intended to fill that gap.

The company’s earliest contracts consisted of supplying smaller businesses, mining operations, agricultural settlements, and independent operators throughout Stanton, Pyro, and Nyx. GCF’s vessels were rarely the largest or fastest in the shipping lanes, but they developed a reputation for something far more valuable:

Reliability.

If GCF accepted a contract, the cargo arrived. Delays, difficult routes, hostile territory, and changing market conditions were considered problems to be solved rather than excuses to abandon a shipment.

Charter

-Treat fellow members, clients, and other players with respect. Harassment, discrimination, unnecessary hostility, and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

-When accepting an assignment, members are expected to make a reasonable effort to complete it. If circumstances prevent completion, notify the appropriate leadership as soon as possible.

Do not knowingly damage GCF’s reputation, assets, relationships, or business interests. Company information, plans, and internal matters should be treated with care and not disclosed to unauthorized individuals.

Members are expected to operate company and personal vessels responsibly. Avoid unnecessary risks that could endanger fellow members, clients, cargo, or company assets.

GCF is a commerce and freight organization. Members will not create conflicts, engage in piracy, or harassment while representing the company unless expressly authorized

When flying under the GCF banner, remember that your actions reflect upon everyone in the organization.
