Welcome to GDR Freight & Trading Limited, your go-to bulk haulers, dealers, traders, and fleet support specialists for every need and situation. No run too small, no risk too great!

History

Founded in 2929 on Terra by two retired UEE military comrades looking for freedom, adventure, and to strike it rich as civilian traders, with just a worn and weathered Freelancer between them they quickly established a reputation for reliability hauling cargoes from the extremely valuable and sensitive, to the completely mundane.

Their motto was ‘no run too small, no risk too great,’ and they took great pride in their ability to run cargo through the most difficult of conditions with a perfect mission completion and no-loss rate in their first ten years of operation.

Today, our founders may have fully retired from the business, but it remains in family hands of both men while also beginning to grow and encompass other areas of expertise beyond its initial medium-haul cargo focus. And despite the growth, GDRFTL still maintains its family feel, and all members of the company work towards common goals with every associate in mind. From pilot officers to cargo load-masters, emergency medical technicians to security staff, everyone at GDRFTL is a critical part of the team.

As our scope of operations grows, so too does our corporate fleet which currently includes the following:

Manifesto

What we offer now is far from where we started. No longer constrained to simply running cargo, we’ve managed to expand our fleet and operations to allow us to support our clients’ every foreseeable need. -DeVane Webb, GDR-FTL Senior Operations Manager

Having started from humble beginnings as a two-man light freight hauling operation, GDR-FTL has steadily grown over the years to encompass an ever-growing fleet in order to accommodate every client need in a ‘one stop shop.’ Some of the current services offered by GDR-FTL include:

  • Bulk freight hauling
  • Commodity exploitation
  • Heavy salvage operations
  • Fleet repair and resupply

In addition to these core services, GDR-FTL is planning on expanding into the following areas in the very near future:

  • Emergency medical services
  • Deep space exploration & cartography
  • Colony construction
  • Commercial passenger transportation

But to support these far-reaching operational goals, we need like-minded individuals to join the GDR-FTL team! For those considering an application, prospective associates should meet the following basic criteria:

  1. Speak English fluently
  2. Have an aptitude for focusing on non-combat operations first and foremost
  3. Have a cooperative personality that values working with others for a common goal

Eventually, and size-permitting, GDR-FTL plans to expand into combat-oriented mercenary operations with a focus on armed escort, anti-piracy operations, and fleet auxiliary support capabilities.

Civilian commercial operations will always be the core of the GDR-FTL mission, but these plans lay the foundation for giving both our executive staff and individual members the capability and flexibility to conduct a wide-range of missions, operations, and services for current and potential client entities!

Charter

Members of the GDR-FTL team are expected to adhere to the following company policies at all times:

  1. While loyalty to the company is desired, loyalty to your teammate is a requirement. Never let a member of your team down, never leave them behind, and always be ready and willing to put the safety of your team before your own.
  2. Without close cooperation, nothing is possible. Team members should be ready and willing to do their duty at all times in order to accomplish the mission or task at hand, so that all of us on the team benefit.
  3. Respect your team member as a person. Never disrespect, fight with, or harm another team member either verbally or physically. Without mutual respect and trust, most of what we do is made infinitely more difficult and creates a hostile work environment for everyone.
  4. While authority should be questioned, lawful orders from superior company officers should be followed at all times. Your executive leadership team and senior officer cadre value you as an individual, and your input. But when on mission, for the safety of the team and for the benefit of all team members, lawful orders from officers must be followed at all times to ensure successful outcomes.
