History

History of GenS: Combat and Transport Organization

Founding and Early Days

GenS, was founded in the mid-29th century by a group of former UEE military veterans and daring freelancers. Initially, their purpose was straightforward—provide combat and transport services in the dangerous, untamed regions of space. With deep knowledge of strategic combat and logistical expertise, GenS quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with. The founders were known for their bold moves in battle, and even bolder bets at the table.

The Rise of Combat Operations

In its early years, GenS specialized in offering combat escort services for high-value cargo haulers, often braving pirate-infested sectors of space. Their proficiency in combat quickly became legendary, and soon they were being hired by major corporations and small-time traders alike. Rumors started circulating about their fearless tactics in battle, likened to high-stakes poker—bluffing opponents into making fatal mistakes while strategically outmaneuvering them.

GenS pilots were famous for their “double-down” approach, a nod to their love for gambling, where they would escalate a risky situation to force enemies into making rushed, bad decisions. Many skirmishes saw GenS ships outnumbered but never outgunned, betting everything on their superior combat skill and nerves of steel.

Transport and Smuggling Ventures

As the organization grew, so did its operations. GenS started offering exclusive transport services, specializing in getting delicate or illegal cargo through hostile or restricted zones. While some contracts were legitimate, others hinted at less savory undertakings. They developed a reputation for being able to “move anything, anywhere,” provided the price was right. Their motto—“If you can’t find a way, make one”—reflected their willingness to risk it all for a big payout.

Occasionally, members of GenS could be found in the back rooms of shady space stations, engaging in illicit gambling rings. Their love for games of chance bled into their business practices, often taking risky transport missions that others would shy away from, betting their ships and cargo on their ability to make it through dangerous territory unscathed. These high-risk runs became known within the organization as “all-in” missions.

Current Operations

Today, GenS remains a powerful force in the outer sectors of space. Known for their unparalleled combat capabilities and daring transport missions, they continue to operate with the same philosophy that they started with—every contract, every battle, every gamble is just another roll of the dice. Whether providing military-style escorts or clandestine delivery services, GenS operates on the edge, where risk meets reward, and the odds are always in flux.

As the organization often says, “In war and in the stars, you can’t win if you don’t place your bet.” GenS lives by that creed, and they continue to carve their path across the stars, never shying away from the roll of the dice.

Manifesto

Intentions of GenS: Combat and Transport Organization

Dominate Combat Operations

GenS aims to become a leading force in combat within the galaxy, offering elite escort and military-style services for high-risk ventures. By maintaining a highly skilled team of combat pilots and strategists, the organization seeks to dominate conflict zones, providing unrivaled protection and offensive capabilities for those willing to pay the price. They intend to build a reputation where the name GenS alone is enough to deter potential threats.

Master High-Risk Transport and Smuggling

With a focus on high-value and dangerous cargo, GenS strives to be the most reliable organization in the transport of delicate, volatile, or illicit goods. They aim to master the art of moving cargo through the most hazardous sectors, whether for corporate interests or more secretive clients. Their motto, “Move anything, anywhere,” speaks to their ambition to handle contracts that no one else dares to accept.

Operate in the Shadows and at the Edges of Law

While GenS will officially take on legitimate contracts, they have no qualms about operating outside the law when necessary. They intend to exploit the grey areas between legality and criminality, working with a mix of official clients and black-market dealers. Their goal is to navigate this fine line skillfully, reaping the rewards of both sides while avoiding entanglement in major legal consequences.

Embrace Risk and Reward

Risk-taking is at the core of GenS’s intentions. They don’t shy away from high-stakes missions or dangerous situations—on the contrary, they thrive on them. Whether in battle or business, the organization is built on a “bet big, win big” mentality. By embracing the unknown and gambling with their future, GenS seeks to outmaneuver cautious competitors and seize opportunities that others avoid.

Build a Reputation of Honor Among Rogues

Though they operate on the edge of legality, GenS seeks to maintain a code of honor within its ranks and among its allies. Their intention is to be seen as trustworthy partners, even when operating outside the law. They want to cultivate a reputation where a deal with GenS means a deal that will be honored, and their word is as good as any contract.

Charter

GenS: Rules for Members

1. Honor the Contract

No matter the job, once GenS accepts a contract, it must be fulfilled. Members are bound to complete missions to the best of their ability, regardless of the risks involved. The Organization’s reputation hinges on reliability, and failure to deliver is unacceptable.

2. Loyalty to the Organization

Members must put the interests of GenS above personal gains. Loyalty to the Organization is paramount, and any actions that betray or undermine it will result in swift and severe consequences. The success of the whole comes before individual ambitions.

3. Strength in Combat, Precision in Transport

Whether engaging in battle or transporting cargo, members must act with skill and precision. In combat, tactics and calculated risks are the norm. During transport missions, discretion and care are required, especially when handling high-value or sensitive cargo.

4. Embrace Risk, but Know Your Limits

Taking risks is part of the GenS way, but members are expected to balance daring with intelligence. While pushing the envelope is encouraged, recklessness that endangers the Organization or a mission will not be tolerated. Knowing when to double down and when to fold is essential.

5. No Betrayal, No Desertion

Turning on fellow members, leaking sensitive information, or abandoning GenS in a time of need is considered a grievous offense. Loyalty is non-negotiable, and betrayal of the Organization is dealt with swiftly and harshly. Trust within the ranks is sacred.

6. Conduct Business, Keep Secrets

GenS operates in both legal and illegal spaces, and members are expected to maintain a code of silence about the Organization’s more covert operations. Loose lips can sink ships, and revealing the inner workings of GenS to outsiders is a punishable offense. Discretion is key.

7. Respect “The House”

The House, the GenS casino and hub of operations, is sacred ground. When on The House premises, members must adhere to its rules: no fighting, no cheating, and no dishonesty. It serves as a place for deals and trust-building, and any violation of its sanctity will result in immediate expulsion from the Organization.

8. Earn Your Keep

Every member of GenS must contribute to the success of the Organization. Freeloading is not tolerated—whether through combat, transport missions, or strategic planning, each member is expected to pull their weight. Your value to GenS is measured by your actions, not just your potential.

9. Respect the Chain of Command

While independent thought and creativity are valued, the chain of command is to be respected. Orders from higher-ranking members must be followed without question during missions. Leadership is earned through success and loyalty, and insubordination will be dealt with accordingly.

10. Always Play the Long Game

GenS is about calculated risks and long-term gain. Members are expected to keep the bigger picture in mind, making decisions that benefit the Organization’s future, not just immediate rewards. Short-sighted greed or impulsive actions that jeopardize long-term goals will be disciplined.

By following these rules, members of GenS ensure that the Organization thrives and maintains its edge in both combat and transport operations.
