History

Origins

GMEC was founded in the year 2945 by a group of former UEE pilots. After the many vanduul attacks, they were unhappy with how the UEE handled security throughout its own systems. They set out to form an organization determined to protect those that faced danger on a daily basis. They began their work with simple security jobs such as personal escort, but more recently have been accepting larger tasks, such as convoy escort and system patrols.

The Fleet

  • Capital: RSI Polaris, Aegis Idris
  • Transport: RSI Constellation Taurus
  • Industry: Misc Prospector
  • Fighters: 2 RSI Aurora LNs, 1 Aegis Avenger Stalker, Aegis Gladius
  • Luxury: Constellation Phoenix

The Lost Star

Our flagship is an RSI Polaris class corvette named The Lost Star. The Polaris was designed with the goal of creating a base of operations for small militias to allow them to strike hard and fast at invaders. The Lost Star will take point on any mission it is involved in and will be the center of operations for GMEC. Although we have an Idris, the Lost Star is the flagship due to the fact that the Polaris has newer, advanced systems.

Manifesto

Ideals

As a PMC, it is our goal to perform the tasks listed in our contracts to the fullest extent possible. That could potentially range from taking out simple pirates to other PMC’s hired to make our contractor’s life harder. However, GMEC will never intentionally attack any civilian ships of any type. We believe that safety should be the main priority for any individual, which is why we put our lives on the line for those unable. We also agree that Humanity comes first. We will deal with any hostile alien encroachment swiftly and efficiently.

Charter

Basic Rules

  • - You must follow the chain of command. If you are under command of an officer, you must take problems to them directly.
  • - If an officer is issuing orders that go against the moral code of GMEC, take the problem to their superior.
  • - There will be no attacking civilians at any time unless directly stated in the contract, or unless you were engaged upon first. Try to take aggressive civilians alive.
  • - In the case of a mutiny, the leaders will be executed or imprisoned. Anyone else involved will either be able to rejoin the crew or leave the ship.

Ship Ownership

  • Ship owned personally by an individual will remain personal, unless the owner donates it to the cause.
  • When ever currency is earned during a contract, a percentage will be deposited directly into the organization bank for uses such as new ships, refuel, and resupply. The remaining payment will be distributed among those involved in the completion of the contract.
  • New ships purchased with organization money will be assigned a captain based on qualification. From there, the new captain can choose his own officers and crew, if the ship requires it.
  • Ships of industry or trade will be given special orders and missions based on their specialty.
  • All captains must follow the orders of the fleet admiral.

Ranking System

  • Recruits are the base rank. Any new member joining will remain a recruit until they complete enough tasks to find where they are best suited. If a recruit would like to preform a specific task, they should show a certain understanding of that task.
  • Corporals will be the bulk of our ranks. Corporals are normally specialized in a task that can range from cargo to weaponry.
  • Sergeants will be the commanding officers of all marine based activities. They will lead squads on both ground and boarding missions. Sergeants will be able to choose squad members based on how well they can work as a team.
  • Warrant Officers will be in command of different subsystems of ships. These officers can range from communications officers to squadron commanders. Warrant officers will be able pick recruits that have recently been promoted to serve under them, or they may choose to personally train recruits.
  • Captains will be the individuals selected by the Fleet Admiral to command specific organization ships. Captains will be selected by their expertise at operating and commanding certain classes of ships. These ships not only include combat ships, but also ships of industry and trade. In order to be a captain, an individual must command a multicrew ship. Fighter wing leaders will be under the rank of Warrant Officer. Captains will have the ability to choose their Warrant Officers for each subsystem.
  • The Fleet Admiral is in command of all available ships and will be coordinating them in battle, as well as assigning Captains will special missions. Fleet Admirals will always be in command of a flagship, such as the Lost Star. There is currently only need for a single Fleet Admiral, but in the future, it may be necessary for an additional fleet. If that time comes, the conditions for selection will be decided then.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask one of the existing officers.
