History Manifesto Charter

History

Current as of March 2946:

In August 2681, a group of twenty-seven unassigned pilots under the leadership of Captain Geary were joined together to form the “Black sheep” of MFS-214. Captain Geary had just returned from a year’s tour on UEES NOVA as a member of the sixth fleet , and had been credited with multiple kills of Tevarin craft. The squadron was not assigned any aircraft or ancillary personnel at first and flew to Hadrian and later to Kellog in borrowed hornets that were in less than satisfactory condition. On September 13, 2681, the men of MFS-214 gathered in their commanding officer’s office during which time it was suggested that they needed a nickname. The squadron called itself “Black sheep” after, the fact that all of the pilots had been orphans and not attached to a squadron when they got together, and the fact they possessed few reliable craft and no mechanics. The pilots ranged from experienced combat veterans, with several victories to their credit, to new replacement pilots from Kilian. The squadron has faced Vanduul; XI’AN, Pirates and Criminals. From raids in Orion to asteroid patrols in Cathcart, the “Black sheep” have faced every type of hostile with distinction, honor and valour.

In 2935 the squadron was disbanded following their last combat tour and pilots given the option to transfer or retire from the service. A group of pilots formed a PMC (Galactic Outcomes) to keep the squadron together and keep flying.

In 2944 Galactic Outcomes changed it’s name to IHS as the squadron now included former Advocacy agents and U.E.E Navy personal. The squadron’s name may have changed twice but the lineage of MFS-214 is the same. In 2945 the name was changed to Galactic Response Service (GRS)

From the black of Vanduul space to Terra and Earth; our squadron has seen that, been there, done that and has the T-shirt with the bumper sticker.

When spacers need help. They call the U.E.E. When the U.E.E. needs help they call GRS.

lll. If any person Employed or an Agent of IHS shall commit Piracy; Aiding and Abetting, Espionage, Criminal Actions or bring GRS into disrepute. Actions without lawful authority, shall be subject to Non-Judicial Punishment, U.E.E. Laws or Terminated with Extreme Prejudice.

lV. Will act in a judicious and safe manner in all they do. During combat they will endanger themselves and their comrades only to the extent required to carry out the mission

V. To keep their person, small arms, and ship clean and fit for service.

VI. WILL RESPECT the secrets that are confided in me.

VII. MY COLLEAGUES will be my sisters and brothers; will act out of fraternity and devotion to their comrades, and will always go to their assistance when they need their help or depend on them, despite any danger or difficulty, even to the point of risking their lives

VIII. Will fight and conduct myself with courage in the face of all dangers and obstacles.

IX. Will be prepared at all times to perform my assigned duties quickly and efficiently, placing these duties before personal desires and comforts.

X. I WILL NOT PERMIT considerations of creed, origin, nationality, political affiliation, race, orientation, social standing or any other factor to intervene between my duty.

XI. I WILL MAINTAIN by all the means in my power, the honor and the noble traditions of my profession.
