History of the Galactic Trade Union.

Founded in the early 29th century, the Galactic Trade Union (GTU) emerged from a coalition of independent merchants, haulers, and corporate financiers seeking stability and fairness in interstellar commerce. What began as a modest alliance of traders operating along the Terra–Corel route soon evolved into a powerful intersector organization, advocating for open markets, fair tariffs, and protection for lawful commerce across UEE space and beyond.

Through decades of negotiation, diplomacy, and strategic partnerships, the GTU has become a cornerstone of galactic trade infrastructure. Its members now range from solo cargo captains to major logistics corporations, all united by a common goal — to ensure prosperity through cooperation, efficiency, and integrity in the galactic economy.

The Union’s emblem — a silver gear encircling a guiding star — symbolizes the balance between progress and direction: the machinery of trade driven by a shared vision of a connected galaxy.
