Gravity Defiers / GVR

No one believed we had what it takes. No one in the UEE would let us in enlist. We were looked down on, everyone thought we didn’t have the experience or drive to be a pilot. Boy would we prove them wrong! We slowly became friends with ship builders learning the ins and outs. Years would pass by as we in secret built what others thought would be out of our reach. One cold piece of steel at a time we built our frame. Layer be layer we added Carbon Fiber for superior strength. The other guys would use aluminum. Funny. We also used Magnesium alloy for more weight savings. We pulled our credits together and hired a trader-smugglar named Falcon. He was well versed in trading with the Banu, getting us the best alien tech we could afford. Determined to build the sickest ship out there. One day Falcon smuggled us a Tricon Pulse Reactor after a very close call with the Vandual! Wow that made our day better yet our year! We modified it to power the shield. Anyone trying to blow us out of the sky with lasers is going to cry. Nearly finished, now we need paint. Not to much paint the Carbon Fiber looks too good to be covered! All of us standing back looking in awe of what we created. Wow, look at that beauty. What shall we name her? Falcon walks in and said “after me!” Commander looks at him and laughs then said “We will name her…..Pulsar….after our power plant for the shields” Applause! Our dream will soon come true once we get this technological marvel in the sky. We take to the sky’s….wow that TRD6 rocket engine with a fusion core pushes our body’s hard against the plush leather sets. 5000….10000….20000….yeaaaaaaa were going to make it, as we rocket toward outer-space!! Cry’s of joy are heard across our black and silver ship! WE MADE IT!! We had Defied Terra’s Gravity that had been holding us to the ground our whole lives. We had Defied all of mankind’s negativity heaped upon us. That’s when we decided to call ourselves the GRAVITY DEFIERS! Just as we were feeling confident in our masterpiece and new found name two UEE Hornet’s opened fire on us with lasers flying. Forward power to shields! With our Modified Tricon Pulse Reactor powering the shield’s we ate every shot from the lasers with no damage!! Firing stopped. They hailed us on com-link…..WHAT THE CRAP ARE YOU FLYING AND WHAT KIND OF SHIELD TECH IS THAT!! We knew we didn’t have long to answer with a Destroyer looming in the distance.
