Hammer and Nails is a high-response syndicate specializing in heavy-asset suppression and fringe extraction. Using the Aegis Hammerhead for tactical overwatch, We provide the iron, the firepower, and the foundation—so our clients can get the job done.

History

The Foundation: The “Broken Link” Incident

Hammer and Nails traces its roots back to the Odin System, where a small security detail was contracted to protect a heavy salvage operation. When a massive Valakkar swarm breached the perimeter, the standard light escorts were shredded.

A lone, privately-owned Aegis Hammerhead—crewed by the founding members—held the line for six hours, using its turrets to create a “steel umbrella” that allowed the ground teams to extract. They realized then that the fringe didn’t need more “pilots”; it needed a foundation. They weren’t just the escort; they were the nails holding the operation together.
The Rise of the Syndicate

Following the success in Odin, the crew relocated to the Stanton/Nyx corridor, officially chartering as Hammer and Nails. They moved away from standard corporate security, finding their niche in “Extreme Extraction.”

They became the go-to specialists for Lazarus tasks and Apex bounties—jobs too “messy” for the UEE but too lucrative for the average mercenary. They gained a reputation for being the first ones in during a crisis and the absolute last ones to leave the landing pad.
The Current Era: “Driving it Home”

Today, Hammer and Nails operates as a specialized syndicate. They are known for their “Hammer-Down” protocol: a tactical doctrine where a Hammerhead provides continuous 360-degree suppression while ground teams (The Spikes) move with surgical precision.

They remain a tight-knit brotherhood, prioritizing crew synergy and heavy ordinance over roster size. In the lawless reaches of the fringe, the sight of their crossed-cannon sigil on a scanner is often the only reason a ground team decides to stay and finish the job.

Manifesto

MANIFESTO: THE FOUNDATION OF THE FRINGE
I. THE CORE BELIEF

The UEE claims the stars are governed by law, but out in the fringe, we know the truth: the stars are governed by physics. A ship is a target. A crew is a liability. But a Hammer—deployed with precision and purpose—is a foundation. We believe that no operation is too dangerous if the structure is sound. We don’t just provide security; we provide the iron that holds the mission together.
II. THE DOCTRINE OF THE STEEL UMBRELLA

At the heart of every Hammer and Nails operation is the “Steel Umbrella.” We utilize the Aegis Hammerhead not as a simple patrol craft, but as a mobile fortress.

The Hammer: Our multi-crew gunships provide 360-degree suppression, clearing the skies and the ground of Valakkar swarms, hostiles, and Apex threats. The Sledge and Spikes: Our ground teams and specialized escorts move within that circle of fire to extract value from the chaos.

We do not retreat until the job is nailed down.
III. OUR MANDATE

Hammer and Nails operates as a professional syndicate for hire. Our motives are transparent:

Apex & Lazarus Operations: We specialize in high-threat biological extraction and pest control where standard mercs won’t fly. Bounty & Interdiction: We track the tasks that need driving, ensuring that high-value targets are neutralized or retrieved with clinical efficiency. Contractual Integrity: Once the hammer falls, the contract is ironclad. We are the partners who stay when the nebula thickens.

IV. TO THE RECRUIT

We are not looking for “ghosts” on a roster. We are looking for the architects of the Verse. Whether you man a turret in the Sledge or drop into the dark as a Spike, you are part of the structure. We prioritize synergy, communication, and the shared weight of the mission.

WE BRING THE HAMMER. YOU STRIKE THE BLOW.

Charter

CHARTER OF THE SYNDICATE
ARTICLE I: THE BOND OF BROTHERHOOD

The strength of the Hammer is not in its steel, but in the crew that mans it. Every member of this Org is a vital component of the whole.

The Collective over the Individual: We operate as a unit. Personal glory is secondary to the success of the crew and the safety of the fleet. Answering the Call: When a brother or sister signals for aid in the ‘Verse, all nearby assets are expected to divert and assist. We do not ignore a distress flare.

ARTICLE II: THE IRON RULE

Leave No Man Behind. Whether it is a pilot stranded in a dead ship or a ground tech pinned down at a Lazarus site, we do not jump until the roster is accounted for. We bring our people home, or we die trying to reach them.
ARTICLE III: CONDUCT IN THE FRINGE

Professionalism in Fire: We are mercenaries and specialists, not mindless marauders. Members shall conduct themselves with the discipline of a professional outfit. Trigger Discipline: Under the “Steel Umbrella,” fire is coordinated. Unauthorized engagement that endangers the mission or the crew is grounds for review. Chain of Communcation: During active operations (Apex hunts, Merc contracts), clear comms are mandatory. Listen to your Lead, maintain your sector, and trust your crew.

ARTICLE IV: LOYALTY AND REPUTATION

The patch you wear represents the entire Org.

Integrity of the Contract: Once a contract is accepted, we see it through to the end. Our reputation for reliability is our greatest asset in the fringe. Internal Dispute: Grievances between members are handled privately within the Org. We present a united front to the rest of the ‘Verse.

ARTICLE V: THENAILPROTOCOL

Every member is expected to maintain their gear and their station. Whether you are a turret gunner, a medic, or a pilot, be the best “Nail” in the structure. Mastery of your craft is your contribution to our survival.
