History Manifesto Charter

History

Hard Light Productions was founded in 2001 to cater to the needs of the FreeSpace modding community. Soon after, it became the home of the FreeSpace Source Code Project, which keeps the engine up to date, and the FreeSpace Upgrade project, dedicated to keeping FS’s visuals up to date.

We’ve been in the Spacesim business for a long time, and so it is only natural that we have a representation here, at the site of the newest, biggest hope for the Genre.

Manifesto

As veteran pilots with over a decade of experience in the dangers of spaceflight, we intend to make the universe a safer place. Far too many of our comrades have fallen to misfortune or malice. We would not have the past set the pattern for the future. Through both proactive and retroactive means, we will make a difference.

Also, we aim to misbehave. So there’s that.

Charter

  1. Render aid in time of need
  2. Enforce the peace with extreme prejudice
  3. Spread the good news of the SCP from the bright core of the galaxy to the systems that are farthest from it.
  4. ???
  5. PROFIT!!
