The Helion Covenant emerged from the shadows of secrecy and betrayal, forged by those who endured a mission few will ever know—and even fewer survived. Our history begins with a single covert UEE operation that turned deadly: Operation Helion. Years ago, an elite UEE special forces team was dispatched on a mission to explore and secure a mysterious alien structure discovered on the fringe of known space, in the vast and uncharted region between Pyro and an unnamed system. This relic—dubbed The Helion Monolith—was rumored to be an ancient research facility of unclear origin. Some believed it to be Tevarin, others whispered it was Xi’an, and a few dared to suggest it was something far older. Officially, the team’s goal was to secure and catalog any artifacts. Unofficially, however, many suspected their true objective was to recover technology the UEE sought to claim for itself.

Upon reaching the Monolith, the team quickly discovered it was unlike anything they’d encountered before. Strange energy signatures, communications disruptions, and unexplained psychological effects plagued their efforts to explore the structure. Whispers, visions, and paranoia crept into the minds of the crew, pushing them toward chaos. What began as an exploration quickly unraveled into a desperate fight for survival. Cut off from UEE support, the team was left stranded, with members vanishing one by one amidst inexplicable events and equipment malfunctions. In the end, only a handful made it out.

When they returned to UEE space, they were met not with honor but with silence. The entire mission was classified, its survivors bound by secrecy and abandoned by the very government they had served. Disillusioned, a small group of those survivors eventually reunited, led by the former dropship pilot who had kept them alive. Together, they vowed to create an organization that would answer to no authority but its own and uphold loyalty to its members above all else. Thus, The Helion Covenant was born. Operating on the edges of lawful space, The Helion Covenant is more than a mercenary band—it is a family bound by a shared understanding of survival, loyalty, and purpose. The Covenant specializes in high-risk contracts that require precision, adaptability, and a willingness to venture into the unknown. Their creed, “From Fragments, We Forge,” reflects the spirit of unity they hold dear, a unity forged in the fires of betrayal and tempered by the determination to carve their own path.

The Helion Covenant is an independent alliance of mercenaries, explorers, and survivors who defy the confines of corporate control and government neglect. We stand for loyalty, freedom, and resilience in a universe that often leaves its strongest behind. We are not beholden to the UEE, nor do we submit to the ambitions of megacorporations. Instead, we answer only to each other, united by bonds forged through hardship and guided by a purpose far beyond simple profit.

Our Intentions We seek to build a haven for those who have been overlooked, betrayed, or cast aside. Our goal is to provide sanctuary and purpose to those who, like us, have faced the harsh truths of the ‘verse and emerged stronger for it. Within the Covenant, each member finds both camaraderie and a shared mission: to carve a new path, to support one another, and to survive—no matter the cost.

Our Motives The Covenant was born from the ashes of Operation Helion, a classified UEE mission abandoned and erased from official records. In the aftermath of that betrayal, our founders made a choice—to forge their own path, free from the chains of politics and greed. We fight for ourselves and for each other, not for empty promises from faceless entities.

We are driven by a desire to reclaim what was lost and to pursue the mysteries that others are too afraid to confront. Our missions take us to the edges of known space, to the frontiers where secrets lie buried, and to places where the faint-hearted fear to tread. We believe that true freedom is found in embracing the unknown and in standing by those who share our resolve.

2. Ranks and Roles

-Fragments: New recruits who are in training and proving themselves. They receive mentorship from established members and are evaluated on their adaptability and commitment.
-Forged: Full members who have earned their place within the Covenant. Forged members participate in missions and are granted more autonomy in operational decisions.
-Council Members: Veteran members responsible for organizational oversight, strategic planning, and the protection of the Covenant’s principles and interests.

3. Decision-Making and Voting

Major decisions, particularly those that affect the entire Covenant, are brought to the Council. In cases where broader input is necessary, senior members may call for an assembly of the Forged to voice opinions.
