Summary: Decentralized predatory organization operating primarily in and around Stanton but reports show them having range as far as Nyx, Pyro and Terra systems. Active since 2948. Composed of burned-out military pilots, discarded corporate operators, and disavowed mercenaries. No formal structure, no public ideology, no claimed territory. They do not negotiate. They do not recruit openly. They take what they require and leave.

Origins: Formed in the unregulated underlayers of Stanton after a critical mass of discarded personnel elected to stop participating in sanctioned systems of loyalty and employment. No founding leadership has been identified. No public manifesto exists.

Operational Pattern: Targets selected by opportunity and risk rather than ideology. Engagements are brief, violent, and conclusive. Post-action withdrawal is rapid and disciplined. Survivors, when present, report no demands and no explanations.

Internal Code: Recovered fragments indicate a consistent posture: prior identities and obligations are considered forfeited. Mercy is not practiced. Entry into the group appears irreversible.

Relations with the above are hostile. The Heretics do not form alliances and treat competing outlaw groups as targets of opportunity when encountered.

The group has demonstrated consistent success in acquiring and fielding advanced military-grade hardware, including restricted weapon systems and high-threat combat platforms well beyond typical outlaw access. Individual marksmanship is notably above average for outlaw elements, with a high proportion of former UEE Navy Marines and trained spec-ops operators among confirmed members.
