History

History of HLN Group
Earthbound Origins

HLN began long before jump points and Vanduul raids.

Founded by Heinrich L. Neuhaus in the 20th century, HLN started as a terrestrial logistics enterprise built on discipline, reliability, and humanitarian transport. As humanity industrialized and stabilized post-war Europe, HLN expanded its freight and supply operations across continents.

When humanity began looking outward in the 21st century, HLN was already positioned as a logistics specialist.

The Quantum Shift

In 2075, the development of the Quantum Core Engine by RSI transformed humanity’s future. Interplanetary transport became viable. Mars was terraformed. Colonies formed.

HLN transitioned from planetary freight to orbital supply contracts. By the early 22nd century, HLN vessels were supporting infrastructure between Earth, Mars, and expanding asteroid operations.

When Nick Croshaw discovered the first jump point in 2214, humanity entered a new era. HLN did not lead exploration fleets — but it supplied them.

Where others planted flags, HLN ensured they had food, parts, fuel, and extraction capability.

The Need for Structure

As the UNE evolved and later became the UEE, space became less predictable.

Trade routes expanded.
Piracy increased.
Frontier systems destabilized.

HLN leadership recognized a simple truth:

Logistics without protection is liability.

In 2158, HLN formally reorganized its spaceborne operations into HLN Group, adopting a fleet-based hierarchy inspired by naval structure. Tactical, Operations, and Support divisions were codified to ensure specialization and operational efficiency.

HLN did not seek militarization.
It embraced preparedness.

Through Conflict and Expansion

During the Tevarin conflicts and later Messer-era expansion, HLN maintained contractual neutrality while protecting its assets and personnel.

As Vanduul raids escalated in the 29th and 30th centuries, convoy security became non-optional. HLN Tactical elements expanded escort and interdiction capabilities, while Operations ensured industrial continuity even in high-risk systems.

HLN’s reputation grew not because it conquered systems — but because it remained operational when others withdrew.

Modern Era – 2954

Today, HLN Group operates as a disciplined fleet organization within the Star Citizen universe.

We conduct:

Convoy protection

Industrial mining and salvage

Medical and support deployments

Exploration operations

Structured fleet training

Coordinated multi-division missions

We are aligned with stability within UEE space but remain strategically independent.

We believe in three enduring principles:

Sovereignty – Stability – Continuity

We do not provoke conflict.
We do not flee from it.
We do not fracture under pressure.

In an era of Vanduul aggression, corporate exploitation, frontier piracy, and political uncertainty — HLN remains structured, unified, and prepared.

The galaxy is unstable.

We are not.
