The Archangels / HOLYSHIELD

Born from an enclave of broken men, the founders brought together a band of disheartened soldiers and shattered capitalists with the goal of bringing order and justice back to the galaxy by whatever means necessary. Taking the mantel of the Archangels of ancient lore, this group took it upon themselves to purge the galaxy of the corruption that had taken hold. With this mission came many difficulties: resistance to return to the old ways, constant war with the xeno species, facing greed on a scale unimaginable. Using the suffering and strife cause by the endless wars and disasters facing the UPE, The Archangels were able to recruit and establish chapters across the galaxy with their ranks swelling with zealots ready to bring divine retribution to the enemies of humanity. Quickly growing into a sizeable force, The Archangels became the leading sword for the UEE warfront. However; as the power wielded by the Patriarchs and their Chaplains began to rival that of the Emperor himself, they found themselves being targeted by the very people they were trying to protect. In the wake of that great purge only a single chapter was able to survive. With their resources gone and their numbers almost depleted they took their cause back into the shadows, trying to stamp out the corruption of the galaxy one enemy at a time.
