We are the Intergalactic Federation of Trade that supplies all systems with minerals, supplies, and safety. Our mission is to bring a safer way to distribute and trade goods across the verse.
Join Our DiscordThe Intergalactic Federation of Trade, commonly known as the IFOT, began in 2938 on Cellin, one of the moons of Crusader. What started as a small group of independent haulers, miners, and resource traders quickly developed into something much larger.
The founders of the Federation shared a simple belief: trade was the foundation of civilization. While governments fought over territory and corporations competed for profit, the IFOT sought to connect people and economies through the movement of resources, goods, and information.
In its earliest days, the Federation operated small cargo ships and mining vessels around Cellin. Members gathered valuable resources from the moon and transported them to settlements and orbital facilities throughout the Crusader system. Profits were modest, but the organization developed a reputation for reliability.
The IFOT’s earliest motto became:
“From Every World, To Every World.”
As the Federation grew, its operations expanded beyond Cellin. The opportunity to operate through Port Olisar became a turning point in the organization’s history.
Port Olisar provided the IFOT with something it had never possessed before: a central hub from which it could reach destinations across the Stanton system.
The Federation began establishing regular trade routes between:
Crusader and its moons
Hurston
ArcCorp
MicroTech
Independent mining and industrial outposts
Remote settlements and frontier stations
The IFOT purchased larger cargo ships, recruited additional pilots, and established its first dedicated logistics division. What had once been a loose collection of traders was becoming a true interstellar trade organization.
With its growing fleet, the IFOT began looking beyond simple resource transportation.
The Federation entered the fields of:
Industrial supply
Agricultural exports
Mineral transportation
Ship components
Fuel logistics
Construction materials
Consumer goods
Emergency relief shipments
Rather than relying on a single source of income, the IFOT developed a decentralized trade network. Members were encouraged to establish contacts with local businesses, mining operations, independent settlements, and larger corporations.
This period also saw the creation of the IFOT Trade Registry, an internal system used to track contracts, shipping routes, cargo manifests, and Federation members.
The Registry became one of the organization’s most important assets.
Growth brought enemies.
Independent pirates began targeting IFOT cargo ships, believing the Federation’s expanding trade routes made it an easy source of profit. Several convoys were attacked, resulting in the loss of valuable cargo and several Federation vessels.
Rather than abandon its routes, the IFOT adapted.
The Federation established a dedicated Trade Security Division, composed of combat pilots and escort crews whose primary responsibility was protecting Federation shipping.
This marked the beginning of the IFOT’s transition from a simple trade organization into a full-fledged interstellar federation.
The organization’s philosophy became:
“Trade cannot exist without those willing to protect it.”
By the middle of the 2940s, the IFOT had established itself as a recognizable presence throughout Stanton.
The Federation’s influence no longer depended on a single headquarters. Instead, it operated as a network of traders, haulers, miners, industrialists, explorers, and security personnel.
Major developments during this period included:
Expansion of the IFOT cargo fleet
Creation of dedicated convoy operations
Establishment of standardized trade contracts
Recruitment of independent merchants
Development of mining partnerships
Creation of emergency supply operations
Expansion into long-distance hauling
Creation of an internal command structure
The IFOT also began accepting members who did not directly participate in trade. Engineers, mechanics, scouts, combat pilots, explorers, and other specialists became valuable parts of the organization.
The Federation’s leadership came to view every profession as part of the greater economic chain.
A miner extracts the ore.
A hauler moves it.
An engineer transforms it.
A manufacturer builds with it.
A merchant sells it.
And a pilot connects them all.
Today, the Intergalactic Federation of Trade continues to pursue the vision established by its founders in 2938.
The Federation has evolved from a small group of resource haulers on Cellin into a multi-disciplinary organization capable of operating throughout the Stanton system and beyond.
The IFOT’s primary goal remains the same:
To create a reliable network where individuals, businesses, and organizations can trade, cooperate, and prosper.
The Federation continues to operate cargo fleets, mining operations, security escorts, exploration missions, and industrial partnerships.
Its members come from many different backgrounds, but they are united by a common principle:
No world stands alone. Every civilization depends upon trade.
The Intergalactic Federation of Trade does not view itself simply as a company.
It is a community of individuals and organizations connected by commerce.
The Federation believes that trade can accomplish what governments and armies often cannot: bringing people together through mutual benefit.
Every cargo shipment represents a connection between two worlds.
Every mining operation provides resources for another industry.
Every pilot who completes a delivery strengthens the network.
And every member contributes to the Federation’s larger mission.
“From Every World, To Every World.”
That principle has guided the IFOT since its humble beginnings on Cellin in 2938, and it remains the foundation upon which the Federation intends to build its future.
The Intergalactic Federation of Trade exists to connect the stars through industry, cooperation, and strength. Every shipment delivered, every resource mined, and every new route charted is another step into the frontier. We believe prosperity isn’t found, it’s built. Our miners fuel the economy, our haulers keep commerce alive, our explorers uncover opportunity, and our security teams make sure honest work reaches its destination. Whether escorting convoys through dangerous space or carving new routes out of the unclaimed systems, we face every contract with professionalism, teamwork, and determination. The frontier belongs to those willing to build it. Join us, forge your legacy and help shape the future of the galaxy one contract and one convoy at a time.
