History

Will humanity tread a path for self-preservation as individuals or will we endeavor to recognize what Humanity is capable of as a species? Every one of us is more valuable than the sum of our own ambitions and weaknesses. Humanity beyond Earth requires a new way of thinking about our selves. We are not concerned only with the present but what will come after we play our small part in the Human drama out among the stars.

During the Messer Era, a Star Citizen may have been known as a jack-booted thug of the Imperator in some areas of the empire. Today, in the Age of Erin Toi, things are different. Being named a Star Citizen is more than a privilege it is a responsibility. Star Citizens are not above the law. Where once we may have even been feared amongst the colonials of the Messer era now we must show we have the right to hold our heads high as Star Citizens through good civic work and lasting action for Humanity. That is the basis that the Immortals were founded on — do the right thing and be proud of what we do together.

Immortals try to embody what is best of the Human spirit in our individual actions. We know that if we do not push out into the unknown, humanity itself may fall right back into the gravity well in which it was born. Therefore, we must live as if we were immortal. Immortal minds in finite packages. Wasting nothing of our time among our fellows to ensure that every erg we expend delivers justice and helps secure the future of our race among the stars.

We ply trade as good Star Citizens should. We fly armed to answer the call for justice and help mete it out. We explore for the sake of finding new safety for our fellows who travel between worlds.

Manifesto

Immortal Palatine. Those who fly with the Immortals, pledge their lives to pursuing justice for the innocent and act as a voice for Order amidst the overwhelming number of entropic agents that are loose across the known universe.

We are a group of Star Citizens who recognize that humanity’s future requires those with access to the stars to go beyond self-privilege. We humans have survived our own hubris and now we have an opportunity to become a good neighbor to fellow law-abiding races. Through our own behavior we exemplify the best Humanity has to offer HERE in the spotlight of our stellar neighbors.

Charter

The Immortal Palatine were born out of a common need. The need to protect the innocent plans of honest people from those who would instead deliver grief upon them. We follow the Ancient Laws of right versus wrong and we pick up the tools to rectify injustice.

Those that can be classified as griefers are simply agents of the entropy that tries to thwart order for their own gains or evil amusements. Those who join and serve the Palatine Way are the antithesis of the Griefers who prey upon the hallowed ground of civilized space. We take our amusement in driving griefers to dirt and delivering pound-for-pound the same misery that they’ve brought upon the unsuspecting.

“No one sympathises with a griefer.”

Our symbol is from an ancient Earth water-borne naval tradition and indicates that those who mean to do harm are sailing into danger. It’s intention was to warn other ships away from hazardous obstacles or dangerous waters. But we use the symbol to warn those within our field of attention that we are watching.

On occasion the Immortals will gather in force to cleanse a star system of rogue elements and we can be hired to tirelessly hunt down those who deserve the ultimate penalty.

Our life is one of great risk and many of our members have been lost in pursuit of our Mission so we do not actively recruit. Those that would be Immortal Palatine must be volunteers.

Idealism must be tempered however, and for this we depend on each other not to go too far. If you feel the duty of Star Citizenship, are willing to risk your life to help mete out justice, and are law abiding you might fit our organization.
