IMPERIAL GEOGRAPHIC is founded, on December 6th, by Bantam Cumberly, Chinmay and Biva with the mission to give citizens thrills and emotions related to the beauty of the ‘Verse. It’s primary mission si to take the ultimate shot, the ultimate picture of the universe, enclosed in a glimpse.

A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION

IMPGEO is a non-profit scientific and educational organizations which operates within the UEE territory. Its interests include geography, archaeology, and natural science, the promotion of environmental and historical conservation, and the study of ‘Verse culture and history.

EXPLORATION IS OUR MAIN GOALS

IMPGEO revolves around exploration. All our job is focused on exploring new territories and, even better, getting to know the area of the ‘Verse we live in. Our fleet’s main goal is to reach the ultimate star and taking the ultimate shot while getting there. To us, destination is not so relevant. It’s the journey which matter mosts.

STUDYING THEVERSE

Explorations means many things. To us, it implies a better understanding of what surrounds us. To do so our expeditions are intended to be a moment, for our members, to view the ‘Verse in a different angle. Reporting what we see is our duty, in order to let others experience what we felt first hand.

PUBLICATIONS

As explorers, we aim to collect information and shots of what we find during our journeys and deliver them to the citizens of the ‘Verse. In doing so we publish several periodicals. Here’s the actual list.

  • COSMIC: our flagship magazine. It aims to deliver stunning pics of the ‘Verse and tell its story.
  • JOURNEY: the magazine which deals with emotions and the drama of living in the ‘Verse.
  • THRESHOLD: speed, velocity and extreme experiences. This magazine is intended for anyone who pushes forward at maximum speed.
  • TOURING: a more classic magazine. It’s intended to be a sort of classic travel guide.
  • NOIR: a new type of magazine, which tells a different story of the ‘Verse.

TAKING THE ULTIMATE DRAMATIC SHOT

Our members (main and affiliates) explore the ‘Verse with their ships, minding their business but with the goal to take the ultimate dramatic shot. All shots collected and submitted to IMPGEO will be scrutinized and, ultimately, inserted in our magazines.

SECTION I

PREMISE

Our Charter is our backbone. We follow these rules and we consider them our guide and our path. They represent what we are and what we do. We could not do our job without them. And we could not live together without staring at them every day. It is what makes us different.

WRITTEN AND SPOKEN LANGUAGE

Even if this is “Wide-Across-Galaxy” Fleet and we embrace any kind of people, from anywhere in UEE (and beyond). That being said, our company embraces ENGLISH as our main written and spoken languages.

GENERAL RULES

These rules are to be followed. Every day. By every member of IMPGEO (doesn’t matter if you’re a main member or an affiliate). Please do follow these simple steps:

  1. Respect other members. Always
  2. Read carefully the previous rule
  3. In no case you’ll be authorized by IMPGEO to perform acts of PIRACY or SMUGGLING
  4. We use Ranks and Roles. They’re based on skills and your efforts.

SECTION II

MAIN MEMBERS

Every day matters. A career with us means working hard to achieve our mission in a collaborative and inclusive culture. We have a talented team with diverse people, ideas, interests, and skills. Our behaviors are guided by a deep commitment to Imperial Geographic’s internal values: being inclusive and respectful, curious and innovative, empowered and accountable, proactive, and team players.

  1. In no case any member will act against IMPGEO, its Fleet or its members (main or affiliates)
  2. By IMPGEO’s needs you’ll receive, in time, assignments and tasks. You’re asked to comply
  3. We ask for a professional behavior in meeting IMPGEO’s needs
  4. Getting your ships and crew part of our fleet is mandatory
  5. Our fleet is composed by our members’ fleets. Sometime you’ll have your ship moved somewhere. You’re asked to comply

SECTION III

AFFILIATES

Our affiliates members are our extended family. They help us to better ourselves and produce even better contents. They are talented people with diverse ideas, interests, and skills. They’re behaviors are guided by a similar commitment to Imperial Geographic’s internal values: being inclusive and respectful, curious and innovative, empowered and accountable, proactive, and team players.

  1. Getting your ships part of our fleet is NOT mandatory
  2. Since we seek for people to increase our Knowledge Net we ask you, time by time, to inform us of your availability to serve aboard our vessels or of something interesting found in the ‘Verse.
  3. We ask you to collaborate with a professional behavior

SECTION IV

RANKS

YOUNG EXPLORER

Our new members. They learn how to work with us under the supervision of others members. They might have their own ship but usually they don’t fly alone but in a fleet during expeditions.

EMERGING EXPLORER

This is the standard rank for our members which can fly alone with their ship. They can manage our single man expeditions.

SENIOR EXPLORER

Our senior members are able to manage a small fleet of ships. They can oversee several expeditions.

MANAGER

Our managers deal with pubblications’ operation and oversee every aspect of the fleet and its resources should they be ships or crews. *Applicable to main member only.

DIRECTOR

Our top-level members, fully aware of IMPGEO’s needs. They manage people and the fleet and try to improve our internal strength. *Applicable to main member only.

BOARD MEMBER

Our board members lead IMPGEO to the future. They are in charge of IMPGEO and make every important decision about its core operations. *Applicable to main member only.

SECTION V

ROLES DEFINITION

IMPGEO uses well defined roles in order to drive the change from the inside. Every main member can be invested of one of these roles (CEO being excluded, of course) and being an Officer, here, is something you should be proud of and means dedication and a good understanding of our Fleet. Officers are people that value:

OFFICERS

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

The Chief executive Officer is the Founder and the most senior fleet officer in charge of managing our Fleet. Typically, the CEO has responsibilities as a director, decision maker, leader, admiral and executor. The decision-making role involves high-level decisions about policy. As a leader of our Organization and Fleet, the CEO advises the board of Officers, motivates captains, and drives change within the Fleet. As an admiral, the CEO presides over the Fleet’s day-by-day operations.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO)

The Chief Operating Officer is one of the highest-ranking executive positions in IMPGEO. The COO is responsible for the daily operation and routinely reports to CEO. He is a prominent figure in IMPGEO and manages members, ranks and roles. He oversees all fleet’s developments. He is the leading head of our Knowledge Net. Being the COO is like being the drive engine of our Fleet. He is CEO’s right arm and looks after his decisions to be implemented as they have been designed.

CHIEF RECRUITMENT OFFICER (CRO)

The Chief Recruitment Officer oversees, of course, recruitment. He is in charge of the most important task of all which is finding thinking heads. And transform them in capable photographers and explorers. He manages applications and has the final word on applicants recruitment. He often engages with COO to help him find out people with specific or needed skills.

CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER (CMO)

The Chief Marketing Officer leads all marketing operations and, indeed, has several and proved abilities in public relations. He oversees and manages branding as well as our image. Moreover, he leads marketing communications (including advertising and promotions).

By joining our Company you accept this Charter in all its form, from now on and as long as you’ll stay with us.

FINAL NOTES

This Charter is subject to change, in time. Every time we’ll change it we’ll inform our members in a proper way, in the official thread. Every time it changes it is considered accepted by both sides. If you don’t agree anymore with our Charter, you are free to leave us.
