History Manifesto Charter

History

The Independent Salvage and Trading Corporation was founded in 2913 by UEE Citizen Hedley Hastings, a Vulture pilot scrapping wrecks throughout the Stanton system in order to secure the coveted corporate tax breaks on the sale of raw materials. He gradually expanded operations to include a small fleet of Vultures and their crews, eventually procuring a Reclaimer for the corporation.

Manifesto

Independent Salvage and Trading Corporation, as a worker-owned business, seeks first and foremost to maximize profits for our employee-owners. By scrapping the detritus of other’s misfortune, we seek to keep the economy of the galaxy flowing.

Charter

This charter, and all attached materials, shall dictate the operating posture and procedures for pilots and crew serving our customers.

Code of Conduct
  1. INDST Pilots and Crew shall endeavor to ensure that all wrecks are not claimed by another corporation or individual before salvaging.
  2. INDST Pilots and Crew shall not engage in combat operations except in defense of self or others while on company time.
  3. INDST Pilots and Crew shall not knowingly carry or trade in illicit cargo while on company time.
  4. INDST Pilots and Crew shall render aid to injured or stranded pilots whenever possible, so long as rendering aid does not put the crew or vessel at risk of loss.
  5. INDST Pilots and Crew shall act in a professional and courteous manner at all times while they are actively representing the corporation.

Corporate Ownership and Employment
All employees of Independent Salvage and Trading Co. are afforded ownership shares in the corporation. Ownership shares and employment are dependent on the following conditions:
  1. Adherence with the INDST Code of Conduct.
  2. Profitable activity as a member of INDST.
  3. Commitment to expanding the operations and knowledge of INDST employees and activities.
