The Woman Who Would Unite the ‘Verse*
2951 — THE YEAR EVERYTHING CHANGED
In 2951, 1i7713fi5h learned that a person could lose everything without ever hearing a gunshot. She was twenty-six, ambitious, dangerously intelligent, and already accustomed to the peculiar arithmetic of the ‘verse: A ship was worth more than a home, a contract was worth more than a promise, and the right person, in the right place, could be worth more than both.
She had begun her career running freight between the safer corridors of civilized space, taking contracts nobody else wanted because the margins were better when the risks were higher. She discovered something quickly…
The ‘verse was not truly divided between miners, traders, haulers, salvagers, manufacturers, explorers, mercenaries, and corporations. It only pretended to be as every trade depended upon another.
And somewhere between a questionable cargo manifest and an even more questionable business proposition, 1i7713fi5h became fascinated by the machinery behind commerce. She wanted to understand it….control it….to build something better.
Then she met Salvatore Vauge.
THE FIRST AFFAIR
Salvatore Vauge was a trader, a gambler, and a magnificent liar. 1i7713fi5h met him in a bar where the lighting was deliberately low and everyone’s stories were deliberately high. Salvatore had eyes that seemed to know precisely how much trouble they were causing.
He bought 1i7713fi5h a drink. Then another. Then offered her a job.
By sunrise, they were partners, by the end of the month, they were more.
For a while, it was intoxicating. Together they moved cargo through routes neither would have dared attempt alone. They found underpriced commodities, sold them where demand was desperate, and reinvested nearly everything they earned. Salvatore taught 1i7713fi5h how markets breathed, when supply tightened, when prices rose, when routes became dangerous and insurance followed. When a refinery closed, three systems away somebody became extraordinarily wealthy.
She began keeping notes. Not about the profits…….about the connections.
Mining connected to refining.
Refining connected to manufacturing.
Manufacturing connected to shipping.
Shipping connected to security.
Security connected to intelligence.
Intelligence connected to exploration.
And exploration created the next market.
The pattern fascinated her.
Salvatore fascinated her more.
But Salvatore had another lesson to teach.
One that would hurt considerably more.
—-
THE BETRAYAL
They had built a small fortune. Not enough to buy influence but enough to believe they were close.
Then Salvatore disappeared having taken their best ship. He took their capital class salvage vessel the Supesuyagi. He took three outstanding contracts and the one thing 1i7713fi5h had not realized she had given him……..her trust.
The betrayal left 1i7713fi5h stranded with debts, angry clients, and a reputation she had not earned but, beneath the anger was something more useful……Clarity. Salvatore had not destroyed her because he was stronger. He had destroyed her because “their entire enterprise depended upon one person being trustworthy”.
There had been no redundancy, no institutional protection, independent accounting, network of partners, or structure capable of surviving the failure of a single individual……. and she swore that would never happen again.
2952 — THE SALVAGE YEARS
She rebuilt herself through salvage. She began recovering the things other people had abandoned. All the wrecks, cargo, components, broken ships……. Broken relationships.
She learned that nearly everything had value if you knew where to look. During one particularly brutal recovery operation, she met Captain Crosshaircrisis, commander of a small salvage crew.
Crisis was older, harder, and utterly unimpressed by 1i7713fi5h.Their relationship began with arguments and progressed into competition…then admiration and something neither was willing to name. They spent weeks together aboard a battered vessel, living on bad coffee, recycled air, and the adrenaline that came from stripping valuable components from wreckage before someone else arrived.
Crisis taught her another lesson: “Nothing in this ‘verse is useless. Not ships. Not people. Not mistakes.”
She never forgot it. Neither did she forget the night they watched a distant planet rise through the cockpit glass, reflected in Crisis’s eyes. For one brief moment, she imagined a life without contracts, debt, betrayal, and risk. Then reality returned as It always did.
Their relationship could not survive the business. Crisis wanted independence. 1i7713fi5h wanted expansion. Crisis wanted a crew. 1i7713fi5h wanted a network. Crisis wanted to salvage what was already there. 1i7713fi5h wanted to build what did not yet exist. Their final argument lasted three hours…….their final kiss lasted considerably less.
But as Crisis departed, he left 1i7713fi5h with a sentence that would eventually become foundational to the Consortium:
“You’re trying to build a machine when what you really need is an ecosystem.”
2953 — THE GREAT CONVERGENCE
By 2953, 1i7713fi5h had become something different. She was no longer merely a trader, she had become a connector and 1i7713fi5h kept connecting them all! One contract became two, two became ten, ten became fifty.
Soon, people stopped asking, “What do you do?” and began asking, “Who do you know?”. That was when she understood that the greatest commodity in the ‘verse was not titanium, quantanium, information, or even credits. It was “connection”.
THE NIGHT OF THE RED STAR
The moment that finally changed her came aboard a freighter caught between competing interests. The ship was carrying valuable industrial materials and its crew had been promised protection. However, the security contractor never arrived, the cargo buyer refused payment, the original supplier denied responsibility, and the hauler wanted out. The manufacturer needed the materials, the insurance company wanted documentation….. Everyone had a contract. Everyone had a reason. Nobody had a solution.
1i7713fi5h spent fourteen hours on comms trying to untangle the mess. When it finally ended, she sat alone in the cockpit and peered outside to see a red star burned against the black. She looked at the ship’s manifests and at the communications logs. Seeing the names of everyone involved……there were dozens! Miners, Refiners, Haulers, Traders, Security crews, Manufacturers, and Pilots.
Each had done their own job but the entire operation had nearly collapsed anyway. She laughed……Not because it was funny but because she had finally seen the absurdity in it all…..
The ‘verse possessed extraordinary technology; Magnificent ships, quantum drives, weapons capable of destroying cities…… Yet commerce could still be brought to its knees because people refused to coordinate.
She opened a new document where at the top, she typed four words: THE INTERGALACTIC TRADES CONSORTIUM
She stared at them for a long time.
Then she began writing……. a manifesto and charter soon followed. She wrote until dawn.
2954 — THE FIRST SIGNATURE
The first person to sign was not a corporate executive.
It was Captain Crosshaircrisis.
Years after their separation, Crisis appeared in 1i7713fi5h’s office without warning.
He read the proposal and the organizational principles. Then she looked at 1i7713fi5h, “You’re serious.”
“I’ve never been more serious.”, she told him sternly.
Crisis smiled.
“You’re finally building your ecosystem.”
The list grew and will continue to grow. Not because 1i7713fi5h promised wealth or power but, because she offered something the ‘verse desperately needed: A way for people who did different things to become stronger together.
A hundred different professions.
A hundred different ambitions.
One network.
One purpose.
One increasingly formidable organization.
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium had begun.
And 1i7713fi5h finally had something she had never possessed before: A future that could not be stolen by one person.
INTERGALACTIC TRADES CONSORTIUM: ONE ‘VERSE. EVERY TRADE. ONE NETWORK.
The ‘verse is too big to conquer alone. Whatever you do, you are part of the economy. Miner. Hauler. Trader. Salvager. Explorer. Manufacturer. Medic. Engineer. Security. Pilot.
The Consortium exists to connect it all.
We don’t believe in isolated operations. We believe in supply chains.
We don’t believe a ship is just a ship. We believe it is a piece of an empire.
We don’t believe opportunity should belong to a select few. We believe there is profit on every frontier.
MINE IT. Find the resources the ‘verse needs.
MOVE IT. Build the logistics that keep civilization moving.
BUILD IT. Turn raw resources into ships, equipment, infrastructure, and opportunity.
FIND IT. Explore the unknown and turn discovery into enterprise.
PROTECT IT. Guard our people, our cargo, and our investments.
RECOVER IT. Salvage what others leave behind.
TRADE IT. Turn information, resources, and capital into profit.
SUPPORT IT. Repair. Refuel. Heal. Rescue. Keep the machine running.
NO TRADE TOO SMALL.
NO OPPORTUNITY TOO FAR.
The Consortium isn’t a corporation built around one profession. We are building the entire ecosystem.
Your ship.—————-\
Your skills.—————-|——-They all have a place here!!!

Whether you’re flying your first cargo run or commanding a fleet, you contribute to something larger than yourself. We connect the people who find opportunity with the people who can exploit it. We turn individual operations into coordinated enterprise. We turn enterprise into influence. And we turn influence into power.
THE ‘VERSE IS OPEN.
Someone is going to build the next great trade network.
Someone is going to control the routes.
Someone is going to find the resources.

Founding Charter of the Intergalactic Trades Consortium
—-
## PREAMBLE — THE PURPOSE OF OUR UNION
The ‘verse is vast, its resources are abundant, and its opportunities are without limit. Yet no individual, crew, or organization can master every trade, reach every frontier, or seize every opportunity alone.
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium is founded upon a simple conviction: united trades create greater opportunities, coordinated operations create greater prosperity, and shared ambition creates lasting strength.
We unite independent operators, skilled professionals, crews, and specialists under a common organizational framework dedicated to commerce, industry, exploration, logistics, security, and mutual advancement.
We recognize that every profession has value, every contribution has purpose, and every member has the potential to strengthen the whole.
We do not seek to be merely another organization in the ‘verse.
We seek to build the network through which the ‘verse does business.
By this Charter, the Intergalactic Trades Consortium establishes its principles, responsibilities, structure, and common objectives.
### Section 1. Mission
The mission of the Intergalactic Trades Consortium is to unite and coordinate the broadest possible range of legitimate trades and professions within Star Citizen, creating an integrated network capable of conducting independent operations and supporting enterprise across the settled systems and frontier.
### Section 2. Objectives
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium shall pursue the following objectives:
1. Unification of Trades: Establish a common organization encompassing industrial, commercial, logistical, exploratory, defensive, and support professions.
2. Economic Integration: Connect members and divisions through coordinated contracts, supply chains, resource exchange, and commercial partnerships.
3. Mutual Advancement: Expand the capabilities, opportunities, and operational effectiveness of members.
4. Organizational Growth: Recruit capable individuals, develop specialized divisions, and establish partnerships that advance the Intergalactic Trades Consortium’s mission.
5. Operational Excellence: Encourage planning, professionalism, adaptability, and responsible use of organizational resources.
6. Frontier Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities in emerging markets, remote locations, and developing areas of the ‘verse.
7. Long-Term Sustainability: Build systems and relationships that allow the Intergalactic Trades Consortium to endure beyond individual members, leaders, ships, and operations.
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium shall be governed by the following principles.
### 1. Cooperation Over Fragmentation
Members shall be encouraged to cooperate across trades and divisions wherever mutual benefit is possible. Independent initiative is valued, but coordinated effort is our strategic advantage.
### 2. Contribution Over Prestige
A member’s worth shall not be determined solely by rank, wealth, ship size, combat ability, or seniority. Reliability, competence, initiative, and meaningful contribution shall be recognized.
### 3. Commerce With Purpose
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium shall seek sustainable prosperity through trade, industry, services, contracts, and strategic partnerships. Profit is a legitimate objective, but it must serve the long-term strength of the organization.
### 4. Professionalism and Integrity
Members shall act honestly in organizational dealings, honor accepted commitments, and protect the reputation and legitimate interests of the Intergalactic Trades Consortium.
### 5. Adaptability and Innovation
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium shall remain open to emerging professions, changing game mechanics, new technologies, and evolving opportunities. No trade shall be excluded merely because it is new or not yet established within the organization.
### 6. Unity Without Uniformity
Members need not share the same profession, play-style, schedule, or ambitions beyond the common mission. Diversity of skill is a strength, provided members respect the Charter and one another.
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium shall seek representation in all available and viable trades within Star Citizen, including but not limited to the following sectors.
### A. Industrial Operations
### B. Commerce and Logistics
### C. Exploration and Intelligence
### D. Fleet and Technical Services
### E. Security and Defense
### F. Medical and Rescue Services
### G. Civilian and Specialized Services
This list is illustrative rather than exhaustive. The Intergalactic Trades Consortium may establish additional sectors as new trades, mechanics, and opportunities become available.
No division is required to exist before a qualified member may practice its trade. New divisions may be proposed whenever there is a demonstrated need and sufficient interest.
### Section 1. Eligibility
Membership shall be open to individuals who support the Intergalactic Trades Consortium’s mission, agree to abide by this Charter, and demonstrate a willingness to contribute constructively to the organization.
Applicants of all experience levels and legitimate professions shall be considered.
Ownership of a particular ship, possession of substantial in-game wealth, or prior organizational experience shall not be mandatory unless a specific operational role reasonably requires it.
### Section 2. Member Rights
Members in good standing shall have the right to:
1. Participate in activities appropriate to their skills, interests, and availability.
2. Seek assistance, cooperation, and professional connections across Intergalactic Trades Consortium divisions.
3. Propose operations, initiatives, partnerships, and improvements.
4. Receive clear expectations concerning assigned duties and accepted commitments.
5. Be treated fairly and respectfully.
6. Raise concerns and seek review of decisions affecting their participation.
7. Pursue advancement based on competence, reliability, leadership, and contribution.
Specific voting rights and eligibility for leadership positions shall be determined by the governance procedures established under this Charter.
### Section 3. Member Responsibilities
Every member shall:
1. Uphold this Charter and the legitimate objectives of the Intergalactic Trades Consortium.
2. Treat fellow members with respect.
3. Communicate honestly regarding accepted responsibilities and operational limitations.
4. Honor agreed contracts, assignments, and resource arrangements.
5. Protect confidential organizational information where appropriate.
6. Use organizational assets responsibly and only within the authority granted.
7. Avoid conduct that knowingly undermines the Intergalactic Trades Consortium, its members, or its legitimate operations.
8. Respect the rules of Star Citizen and the platforms on which the organization operates.
### Section 4. Participation
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium recognizes that members have different schedules, responsibilities, and preferred play-styles. Participation expectations should be appropriate to a member’s role and any commitments voluntarily accepted.
Leadership positions and specialized operational roles may carry additional responsibilities.
### Section 5. Departure and Removal
Members may leave the Intergalactic Trades Consortium voluntarily. Membership may be suspended or terminated for serious misconduct, repeated failure to honor commitments, abuse of authority, fraud, or other substantial violations of this Charter.
Except where immediate action is necessary to protect members or organizational assets, removal should follow a fair review process and provide the member an opportunity to respond.
### Section 1. The Intergalactic Trades Consortium Council
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium Council shall serve as the principal governing body, responsible for organizational direction, policy, leadership oversight, and long-term development.
The Council shall:
Council membership, appointment procedures, voting rules, and term limits shall be established by an adopted governance policy.
### Section 2. Executive Leadership
Executive leadership shall translate Council policy into practical action. Its responsibilities may include recruitment, operational coordination, communications, administration, and implementation of organizational initiatives.
Executive officers shall operate within delegated authority and remain accountable to the governing structure.
### Section 3. Trade Divisions
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium may establish divisions dedicated to particular trades or related groups of professions.
Each division may appoint a division lead responsible for recruitment, training, scheduling, operational readiness, and coordination with other divisions.
Division leads shall have reasonable autonomy over routine activities while remaining accountable to the Intergalactic Trades Consortium’s policies and strategic objectives.
### Section 4. Crews and Operational Teams
Crews and task-specific teams may be formed to execute contracts, expeditions, industrial operations, security assignments, or other activities.
Each operation shall identify an appropriate leader, define its objective, and establish the responsibilities and resource expectations of its participants.
### Section 5. New Divisions
Any member or group of members may propose a new division. Proposals should identify the trade, its purpose, anticipated demand, required capabilities, and potential contribution to the Intergalactic Trades Consortium.
Approval shall depend on organizational need, available leadership, and the applicable governance procedure.
### Section 1. Integrated Commerce
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium shall encourage members and divisions to create mutually beneficial commercial relationships.
Where practical, industrial operations should connect with logistics, refining, manufacturing, distribution, maintenance, and security services to reduce unnecessary duplication and create opportunities throughout the organization.
### Section 2. Contracts and Commitments
Organizational contracts should clearly define:
No member shall be presumed to have accepted an obligation merely because it benefits the Intergalactic Trades Consortium. Commitments must be clearly communicated and accepted.
### Section 3. Resources and Assets
Ships, equipment, cargo, credits, and other resources remain the property of their rightful owners unless explicitly transferred or otherwise agreed.
Organizational funds and shared assets shall be managed transparently, with appropriate records of significant transactions and authorized expenditures.
No leader or member may claim ownership of another member’s assets solely by virtue of organizational rank.
### Section 4. Internal Markets
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium may establish internal trade arrangements, preferred-provider networks, shared procurement systems, and coordinated pricing or contracting procedures.
Participation should be governed by clear, mutually understood terms. Internal commerce should create value for the organization without unfairly exploiting its members.
### Section 5. Independent Enterprise
Members may pursue independent ventures and external commercial relationships, provided they honor existing commitments, disclose material conflicts of interest when appropriate, and do not misuse Intergalactic Trades Consortium resources or confidential information.
### Section 1. Operational Planning
Major operations should have a defined objective, designated leadership, appropriate personnel, resource requirements, risk considerations, and a method for communicating instructions.
The level of planning shall be proportionate to the operation’s scale and risk.
### Section 2. Inter-divisional Support
Divisions shall seek opportunities to support one another when doing so is practical and consistent with existing commitments.
Such cooperation may include transporting mined resources, supplying fuel, repairing vessels, protecting convoys, providing medical support, or coordinating expedition logistics.
### Section 3. Voluntary Participation
Unless a member has accepted a specific duty or role, participation in an operation is voluntary. Members shall not be expected to place personal assets at risk without understanding the relevant expectations and consenting to the commitment.
### Section 4. Operational Authority
The designated leader of an operation may direct its execution within the scope of the agreed mission. That authority does not supersede the Charter, grant ownership of participant assets, or extend beyond the authority delegated to that leader.
### Section 5. After-Action Review
Significant operations may be reviewed to identify lessons, improve procedures, recognize contributions, and strengthen future performance.
### Section 1. Standards of Conduct
Members shall refrain from harassment, discriminatory abuse, deliberate sabotage of Intergalactic Trades Consortium operations, fraud, theft of organizational or member assets, and knowingly deceptive conduct in organizational dealings.
Disagreements are expected; intimidation and abuse are not acceptable methods of resolving them.
### Section 2. Confidentiality
Operational plans, sensitive commercial information, access credentials, and private member information shall be protected from unauthorized disclosure.
Information should be shared only with those who reasonably require it for an authorized purpose.
### Section 3. Conflicts of Interest
Members and leaders shall disclose significant conflicts that could compromise their judgment in organizational decisions, especially those involving contracts, resource allocation, recruitment, and procurement.
### Section 4. Discipline
Depending on the seriousness of a violation, corrective action may include a warning, restitution where appropriate, restriction of privileges, removal from a role, suspension, or termination of membership.
Disciplinary action shall be proportionate, based on available evidence, and consistent with established procedures.
### Section 5. Review and Appeal
Where practical, disciplinary matters shall be reviewed by someone other than the individual who initiated the complaint. Members shall have a reasonable opportunity to respond, and an appeal may be submitted to the designated governing authority.
Immediate temporary restrictions may be imposed when necessary to protect people, assets, or ongoing operations.
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium shall pursue growth through competence, cooperation, and sustainable development.
It shall seek to:
1. Recruit and develop members across all major trades.
2. Establish reliable supply chains and commercial partnerships.
3. Improve access to ships, equipment, expertise, and operational support.
4. Expand into new markets and emerging gameplay opportunities.
5. Develop capable leaders and prepare successors for critical roles.
6. Maintain resilience by avoiding unnecessary dependence on a single trade, individual, or revenue source.
7. Adapt organizational practices as Star Citizen evolves.
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium shall measure success not solely by membership numbers, fleet size, or accumulated wealth, but by its ability to create meaningful opportunities and execute coordinated operations.
Expansion shall serve the mission. The mission shall not be sacrificed for expansion.
### Section 1. Amendments
This Charter may be amended when experience, organizational growth, or changes to Star Citizen make revision necessary.
Proposed amendments shall be circulated to the appropriate governing body and reviewed according to the Intergalactic Trades Consortium’s adopted voting procedure.
Substantive changes should be communicated to affected members before taking effect, except where temporary measures are necessary to address an immediate risk.
### Section 2. Interpretation
This Charter establishes the Intergalactic Trades Consortium’s foundational principles and organizational framework. Detailed procedures, role descriptions, operational standards, and administrative rules may be maintained in separate policies.
Where a policy conflicts with this Charter, the Charter shall prevail unless the Charter itself is lawfully amended.
### Section 3. Adoption
Upon adoption by the founding leadership or other duly authorized founding body, this Charter shall serve as the governing foundation of the Intergalactic Trades Consortium.
All members shall be expected to understand and respect its principles. Leadership shall bear the additional responsibility of applying them fairly and consistently.
We are not bound by a single profession, a single ship, or a single frontier.
We are bound by purpose.
We recognize that every trade sustains another, every operation creates opportunity, and every capable member can strengthen the whole.
We will build connections where others see isolation.
We will create opportunity where others see obstacles.
We will pursue prosperity through coordination, strength through cooperation, and longevity through sound organization.
We will respect the individual while building something greater than any individual.
We will adapt to the ‘verse as it changes, expand as opportunity demands, and remain committed to the principles upon which we were founded.
The Intergalactic Trades Consortium shall be more than a collection of pilots, crews, and trades. It shall be an interconnected enterprise built to endure.
The resources are waiting.
The routes are waiting.
The frontier is waiting.
We have work to do.
