It’s been five decades since the late Tracy family started International Rescue and I am sure they would be surprised to see their organisational “baby” re-emerging in the 23rd Century with Star Citizen.
Not that they would recognise it. Today, Interstellar Rescue is primarily a para military organisation preventing rescues but dealing with the problem at source . . . pirates. Their apprehension, arrest or removal before the create problems for the Verse’s community of law abiding citizens.

Rescue, however, is still an important ingredient in IR’s mandate as is providing a security escort service for merchants of all types. To that end, we deploy both our own IR operatives and often, associates (whether those associates are individuals or other organisation within Star Citizen.) and, when working, fly under the same banner of Interstellar Rescue. IR will have, of course, have its own TS3 server and website.
We appreciate some are self-conscious with speaking on TS . . that’s no problem . . just listen. When the game is live. – we don’t mind reading what you type but will be far too busy to type back so you can just listen on TS.

The IR Empire is funded by our founder, IanRM and subsidised by direct funding from contracts with non-associated organisation and individual players. In addition, full time operatives will enjoy a friendly, helpful ‘family’ to grow with and IR will endeavour to provide them with resources other organisational members could only dream of. This will be made possible by a dynamic commercial and industrial programme to supply resource material at cost or free to our own staff and allied organisations and the negotiation of security contracts throughout the remainder of the community.

However, we will always provide immediate and free rescue services to any individual or group in immediate danger or distress.

IR’s Senior Officers are already in office and include,

myself, Starbuck (Exo and Tactical Commander)

and FivePrime (Commander and Molecular Bio Chemist) who is our Chief Science Officer.

All three have many years’ experience and Guild Leadership in organisations such as Freelancer, Star Trek on-line, Eve and many other non space guilds such as Bounty Bay online, WOT, WOW and WOWP.

We belong to a multi game Guild outside of the Verse and many will join us later nearer the live date. However, although we plan NEVER to have a huge number of Org members (who wants to be a minnow in a guild of thousands) we are recruiting. Fortunately, as a multi factional organisation, membership is attractive to any person (other than pirates – who will not be accepted).

Most of us will be here virtually full time but we really don’t care about your frequency of play or chosen activity – that’s your choice. Will are and will be recruiting:-

Operatives

Fighter pilots for Bounty Hunting and Escort duties.
Rescue operatives with fuel carrying ships or ship recovery equipment.
Explorers: To explore the verse – finding resource fields and or intelligence.

Associates

Any of the above categories, that wish to register for freelance contracts. Associates, who will not be members of IR and may, if they chose, belong to another organisation, will be used when our work demand exceeds our current capability. They will be treated like other operatives at all times but will have restricted use to TS and available resources. Their associate ship of IR can, on request be confidential and effective engage in contracts covertly.
