The History of Jaeger Corps

We were outcasts and sometimes referred to as misfits. We started out as the infantry branch of a large military organization. The org as a whole trained regularly and fought with honor and pride. There was a problem though in that the ground troops weren’t quite considered as important as those who took to the wing. Support and requests were dismissed, if not outright ignored, and our contribution to the effort was… quietly forgotten.

We are nothing if not proud of what we are, and soon a mutiny followed by some key infantry members and a few of what was known as Crew (pilots and ship support), and, in early 2951, formed a small security firm by the name of Jaeger Corp— a freelance group of people with good morals, albeit slightly flexible. Contact was made with different industrial organizations to provide security detail, but the response was suboptimal. Unfortunately, pride is a little flexible when one is hurting for income, and having a background in combat comes in handy when it comes to running vices around to keep yourself fed and your ship and gear running. These members started to be colloquially called “The Illegals,” and it was at this time that one of them was hired as a security officer for a new industrial org. After some time, given their prior military experience and contacts, we decided to contact Jaeger as a whole to merge with the industrial organization as their in-house security branch. This lasted for a while, with all the foreshadowing that entails, but things got messy with infighting and disputes on direction, and eventually the whole idea was ultimately abandoned. This did have one positive outcome, though, as it resulted in many of the “Illegals” interacting with former colleagues of Jaeger, and they instead decided to merge themselves. At the time when Jaeger Corp was started, there were no infantry-dedicated organizations, and while we do not limit ourselves to this role, it is our primary function and love. This has given the group, as a whole, a more diverse range of expertise as we incorporated more members over the years, and while we may not be the largest, we pride ourselves on striving for quality over quantity.
