History

Jim’s Rescue traces its origins to a simpler time — specifically, to a bloke named Jim who ran a lawn mowing franchise on Old Earth. Jim’s Mowing was built on a straightforward premise: someone’s grass needs cutting, you show up, you cut it, you charge a fair price, you leave. No drama. No excuses. Just a reliable bloke with a mower and a can-do attitude.

The mower is gone. The attitude isn’t.

When humanity spread across the stars, it turned out the ‘verse had approximately the same number of problems as Old Earth, just distributed across a significantly larger area and with considerably more opportunities to get shot. Ships broke down in deep space. Pilots made ambitious decisions that didn’t pan out. People ended up in places they absolutely should not have been, for reasons they absolutely did not want to discuss. And somewhere in Stanton, a descendant of that original franchise spirit looked at the situation and thought: someone should probably go sort that out.

Jim’s Rescue was founded in 2954 on the same principles as the mowing franchise that inspired it. Show up. Do the job. Don’t make it weird. The only real difference is that instead of an overgrown lawn, we’re usually dealing with an overgrown situation — downed pilots, stranded ships, irradiated research stations, post-prison pickups, and the occasional request to mow actual grass on Orison, which we also do, because we contain multitudes.

We don’t charge. We don’t judge. We don’t ask questions beyond the three that actually matter. We just show up — in Stanton, Pyro, and Nyx — and we sort it out.

Jim would have wanted it this way. Probably. He mainly cared about the lawns, but we think he’d understand.

Manifesto

Jim’s Rescue exists for one reason: when things go wrong, someone shows up.
We keep it simple: no fees, no fuss, no nonsense. We assess the situation, get it sorted, and make sure people get home safe.
We believe in reliability, accountability, and looking out for each other. Not because we have to, but because it’s the right thing to do.
We’re not here to make noise. We’re here to make a difference.
