Joint Task Force Silver Suns is the Star Citizen Org for the Silver Sun Republic who have been around gaming for over 20 years. Mostly current and former US and NATO Military with Law Enforcement and First Responder membership open to everyone. Well-organized and focused on the Mil in MILSIM.
History
Founded by a group of friends in Ultima Online, the Republic has gone through several iterations, but always maintained the same core principles of accessibility, fairness, and transparency that help it stand apart as a community. As a leader among peers, the Republic has always maintained a leadership position within many different coalitions, alliances, and even player created kingdoms.
If there’s an MMO with Sandbox PvP, the Republic has been present and acted in some capacity to drive the main conflict of the game. Our strategies and doctrine continue to drive how other groups play still to this day after having played with or against us.
Manifesto
Joint Task Force Silver Suns operates under a military hierarchy utilizing modern operational concepts like Time, Space, and Purpose to plan and execute actions against hostile forces. Leveraging our real world military experience, we focus on a lean Planning and Command and Control loop that empowers leaders and our members to make direct and effective decisions to bring victory while functioning under an effective chain of command.
We’re chasing the experience of being part of an efficient and effective team that many of us lived during our military careers while focusing on what makes us cherish those memories: camaraderie and being the best at what we do.
Charter
Operating as a Military Unit, the Silver Suns adhere to the doctrine and Standard Operating Procedures established over decades of real world and gaming experience. Our procedures and guidance are derived from the Constitution of the Republic, which can be found on our Wiki from our website.
