History

“Kataas-taasang, Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan”.
(Supreme and Honorable Society of the Children of the Nation)

Founded: 1892
Founder: Andrés Bonifacio and other Filipino patriots.
Purpose: Fight for Philippine independence from Spanish colonial rule.

Lore / Background:

The Katipunan was founded by Filipino colonists and descendants in the UEE frontier systems. Inspired by the KKK’s revolutionary ideals, they started as secret cells defending remote colonies from pirates, corrupt corporations, and hostile factions.

Over time, their skill and loyalty earned recognition from the UEE as a semi-official auxiliary fleet, allowing them to operate legally while preserving their independence. The Katipunan embodies Filipino values like “Bayanihan” (community spirit), “Malasakit” (care for others), and “Diskarte” (strategic cunning).

They operate in unclaimed or contested systems, performing missions ranging from colony defense, intelligence gathering, trade escort, to frontier exploration.

Emblem Description:
“The golden sun with eight rays symbolizes Filipino heritage and revolutionary spirit, the planet represents the frontier colonies the fleet protects, and the Balangay ship in orbit signifies unity, courage, and the journey of the crew through the stars.”

Manifesto

“Unity, Freedom, Honor in the Stars.”

“Kami, mga kasapi ng Katipunan, ay nanunumpa sa pagprotekta sa mga hangganan ng kalawakan, pagtatanggol sa mga inosente, at pagtuklas sa mga hindi pa nasusuring bituin. Gagabay sa amin ang katapangan at pananaw ng aming mga ninunong Pilipino, at aming huhubugin ang landas ng karangalan, pagkakaisa, at katatagan sa kalawakan.”

Translation:
“We, the members of the Katipunan, pledge ourselves to the protection of the frontier, the defense of the innocent, and the pursuit of exploration across the uncharted stars. Guided by the courage and vision of our Filipino ancestors, we forge a path of honor, unity, and resilience in the cosmos.”

Our Beliefs:

Unity Above All: A crew divided cannot survive the void. Our strength lies in teamwork, trust, and loyalty.

Freedom is Sacred: All colonies deserve safety and self-determination. We defend the frontier from tyranny, piracy, and corruption.

Honor in Every Action: Every mission, from the smallest escort to the boldest operation, must reflect integrity and respect for life.

Heritage is Our Guiding Star: Our Filipino roots are the light by which we navigate the stars, remembered in our rituals, our ship names, and our collective spirit.

Courage in Adversity: The cosmos is vast and dangerous. We face it with boldness, strategy, and unyielding resolve.

Our Oath:

“Ipinapasa namin ang aming mga kamay, puso, at kakayahan sa Katipunan. Paninindigan naming ang pagkakaisa, ipagtanggol ang kalayaan, kumilos nang may karangalan, at dalhin ang espiritu ng aming pamana sa mga bituin. Hindi kami magpapatinag, hindi kami susuko, at matapang naming tatahakin ang hindi pa nasusuring kalawakan nang magkakasama.”

Translation:
“We pledge our hands, hearts, and skills to the Katipunan. We will uphold unity, protect freedom, act with honor, and carry the spirit of our heritage into the stars. We shall not falter, we shall not yield, and we shall sail boldly into the unknown together.”

Our Mission:

To explore, protect, and unite. To serve the frontier colonies, uphold the values of the UEE, and ensure that no star remains beyond our reach—or our care.

Our Vision:

A united fleet of brave souls, bound by heritage and courage, charting the stars, defending the innocent, and leaving a legacy of honor for future generations of explorers.
