Founded by Dante “Tonka” Kodo during the early days of the 24th century expansion into the stars, Kodo Mining Salvage and Logistics has grown and expanded to many different aspects of exploration and industry. He built the business on tenacity, hard work, and loyalty to customers and employees.

History

Formed during the early 24th Century by the eldest son of a hard working family of independent asteroid miners, Kodo Mining grew to be a major supplier in an ever growing, ever expanding, field. No long after that, Dante Kodo recognized a new and upcoming opportunity in the salvage retreval and processing sector, expanding the company and rebranding as Kodo Mining and Salvage.

He built the business with a dogged determinism, always finding a way forward, always finding a new opportunity, a new way to do things. In the early days he had always come through for his clients, and so he made sure that as the company grew and expanded that his employees did the same. He ensured this by giving his employees the tools and the freedom to do their jobs, believing always, that the best innovation came from employees with the freedom to find a better way.

In the late 25th Century, Kodo Mining and Salvage announces a new division in the company aimed at increasing profits in sectors with high competition in the mining and salvage fields, as well as moving into sectors with already established mining and salvage companies. The new division geared around the idea that everyone has things that they need moved from one place to another, but not everyone has the time or fleet to do it themselves. The new division proves quickly profitable and before the end of the century the Company officially rebrands as Kodo Mining Salvage and Logistics.

Kodo Mining Salvage and Logistics remained a family owned and controlled corporation until the early 28th century when the last direct heir to the family name ceded the final controlling interest in the corporation to the board of directors, though to be fair, most of the board remain people with ties to the family in some for.

Today Kodo Mining Salvage and Logistics has expanded to some degree into almost every sector of the economy, maintaining not only their Mining, Salvage, and Logistic fleets, but also an exploration division, science and manufacturing, trade, and a strong, well respected, security division that maintains the security of their fleets and facilities, but also contracts to protect their clients as well.
