History

Krieger (German for Warrior) has been a Veteran & First Responder Gaming Community since 2009. Over the years, we realized how important it is to be a part of a strong supportive community. We incorporated in November 2022, and accomplish our Mission through three primary objectives:

Manifesto

1 – COMMUNITY
Krieger Gaming is first and foremost a community for military members, veterans, and first responders. Gaming is simply the way we connect, smoke & joke, play together, and share resources. Our community is found on Discord, which is a popular talk, text, and video app.

We have over a thousand members on every major gaming system including Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo, and PC! We play a large variety of games from Call of Duty to Battlefield, Valheim to American Truck Sim, and many more! We even have a growing Tabletop Game community that includes games like Dungeons & Dragons!

Furthermore, we host joint in-person & online game nights with The American Legion in Newport Harbor to bring people together from all over the country! We also host monthly community game nights on Discord, participate in tournaments, and giveaway games and equipment to our members!

2 – OUTREACH
Krieger isn’t just a gaming community. We’re a nonprofit that puts every dollar we have back into veterans & first responders. We are working with multiple organizations and Veteran Resource Centers in southern California to setup gaming lounges to help connect and support our communities! These lounges are based on the style of USO lounges found in airports, and include food, drink, places to relax or study, and of course gaming consoles to play with friends!

If funding wasn’t an issue, every Veteran Resource Center, Military Lounge, Police Station, Fire Department, and Hospital in the country would have a gaming lounge with all the food, drink, and resources they need!

This is who we are, and this is what we are about!

3 – SUPPORT
We believe that helping others and providing resources is our duty. There are hundreds of great resources all over the country that support veterans & first responders, but not all of them are easy to find or right for each person. Our staff help our members get in touch with the right resources, and we maintain an ever growing list here on the website and on our Discord Community that includes discounts, education and disability help, mental health resources, and more!

Lastly, our in-house peer-support program Buddy Check is available 24/7 to all members of our Discord community. Buddy Check is staffed by dedicated volunteers with experience in areas such as Suicide Prevention, Counseling, and Stress Management. You can start a Private conversation with our staff at any time by visiting the Buddy Check section of the community server.
