History

From UEE Congressional Intelligence Report #1892-b:

Globex Corporation appears to have begun as a front for illegal uranium manufacture, although this has never been officially proven. Special Agent [REDACTED] of the [REDACTED] and a commissioner by the name of [REDACTED] from the now defunct FBI spent several years trying fruitlessly to infiltrate the company, but budget cutbacks and poor circumstances prevented serious progress on this front.

In 2029 the company apparently liquidated all physical assets and has remained silent ever since, apparently ceasing all illegal activity associated with [REDACTED]. They did not resurface until this past year, and we speculate that they may have been operating under another name (or possibly several) during this period. The board of directors, and, in fact, employees at every level of management appear to be working toward some unknown agenda that we can only speculate on at this time.

Recommend we pick up where the last agency left off by attempting to maneuver agents into key positions in order to assess the threat that Globex poses.

Who Are Globex Corporation?

Globex Corporation’s is separated into two distinct divisions. The first is dedicated to aggressively acquiring high-value commodities in order to provide our customers with the very best in prices. We are able to negotiate with smaller organizations and independent local traders to keep our cargo holds filled with the products that a high-paced modern life requires.

The second division of Globex provides security to merchants and traders who travel through Globex controlled shipping routes. For reasonable fees, we assure the safety of our patrons. Our reliable mercenary forces are capable of preventing even the worst accidents from befalling honest businessmen. The verse is a dangerous place, and without the protection of Globex’s security division, it could be a whole lot worse for you.

Welcome, applicant, to the Globex Corp. Orientation Session. Here you will learn all you’ll need to thrive among the elite ranks of Globex.

Employee Conduct

All employees are expected to maintain certain standards of conduct, which will be outlined for you now.
  1. No employee may attack another without filing form 92C in triplicate as well as receiving a dispensation from the board of directors to do so. Failure may result in termination.
  2. Employees are required to render assistance to other employees in emergencies. Failure may result in termination.
  3. Employees must maintain a state of non-disclosure regarding all company business with all law enforcement, government, and military agencies, as well as galactic media. Failure may result in termination.
  4. While not enforced, you are strongly encouraged to render assistance to your fellow Globex henchmen Employees during company operations. We’re stronger when we work together. Failure may result in termination.
  5. All employees must bathe regularly and maintain a presentable state of repair with their ships and equipment. Our company is built on its image, and that image must be maintained. Failure may result in termination.
  6. No employee of the Globex Corporation may speak negatively about the members of the board, nor attempt to discredit or harm them in any way. Failure may result in slow, drawn out termination.

  • Increased buying power
    The real power of the Globex corporation comes from our collective ability to buy larger and more expensive trade fleets, escort ships, warships, and facilities that would normally be far out of reach for the average merchant. Once you join Globex, you’ll immediately see the advantages this brings,
  • Real Advancement Benefits
    Employees will be promoted based on a number of criteria. This will include number the number of missions you participate in, your willingness to help other members, and general participation in the Globex community. Once we have a large enough employee base, it will even be possible to be elected (by your fellow employees) into a seat on the Board where you will have a large influence on major financial decisions and corporate policy. Higher ranks will also come with several perks such as access to company assets, and personal expense accounts.
  • Excellent pay through a scaling system of profit-share and Mission Bonuses
    All employees of Globex will receive either bi-weekly, or monthly pay deposits (depending on the banking system) once we are able to begin conducting trade and missions. These will be a direct slice of the company’s profits gained from Globex’s diverse revenue sources.
  • Competitive Taxation Model
    If at all possible, we will avoid charging membership fees, and will instead try to fund the expansion of our operations through the profits gained by our various legitimate operations, although until we see the actual financials we’re working with, there are no guarantees on this front.
  • Assistance with private business ventures
    While Globex won’t usually lend you the use of our physical assets for your personal projects, our community services will help connect you with investors, crewmen, wing-men, and information that can give you a real edge over your competitors. Additionally, we will never attempt to garnish your profits from missions completed using your own resources. For larger ventures,
  • Safety
    Should you ever come under direct attack by forces opposed to the Globex Corporation, you can expect any nearby Globex employees to come to your aid. In the case that you come under attack by a large organization such as a rival company, fake police, or criminal elements, Globex will attempt to intervene, and also negotiate on your behalf to prevent further incidents.
  • Perks
    Upper levels of management will have access to small expense accounts (Enough for fuel and routine maintenance of a personal ship), as well as access to company ships and assets (although this will be limited to mainly company business). Lower level employees will have access to other benefits. Assuming we can arrange bulk contracts, for example, employees could expect to pay less for missiles, fuel, etc. until we know the specifics though, we can’t say for sure what these benefits will be. Additionally, every time an employee participates in a mission, they will have another ticket added to a raffle that takes place every two months. Prizes will vary, but they’ll always be something nice. As the organization grows, so too will the prizes.
