Based out of the gritty, free-spirited city of Levski on Delamar, the Lenscrew is a versatile, well-equipped team of freelancers and mercenaries. With deep ties to the Peoples Alliance in Nyx, the Citizens of Pyro in Pyro and suspected connections to the notorious Headhunter gang, this group thrives on the fringe of lawful society. Their reputation is built on adaptability, fearsome combat skills, and the ability to bring a fleet of specialized ships into play for any mission, be it bounty hunting, mining, salvage, or large-scale fleet engagements.

Origins of the Lenscrew
Lensman, the charismatic leader of the crew, earned his fame as a Hammerhead captain during the Second Tavarin War. An ace pilot, he led countless successful sorties, earning the respect of friend and foe alike. Disillusioned with military life after witnessing political corruption and senseless destruction, Lensman retired to the Nyx system, where he assembled a crew of like-minded outcasts and experts.

Levski, with its anti-corporate ethos and mix of idealists, smugglers, and freelancers, became the perfect base for the team. The Lenscrew quickly gained a reputation as professionals who could take on jobs that required not only firepower but also brains and versatility.

The Crew
The Lenscrew’s strength lies in its diversity. Each member brings unique skills and a storied past, forming a unit capable of handling any challenge.

  • Lensman (Captain & Hammerhead Ace): A former military hero turned rogue captain. His tactical brilliance in the cockpit of a Hammerhead is legendary, and his leadership binds the team.
  • Weirdy (Engineer & Turret Gunner): Lensman’s trusted right hand and confident. Weirdy is unmatched in turret operations and ensures the crew’s ships are always battle-ready.
  • Kal “Nor” Grayson (Copilot & Miner): An aging ex-fighter pilot and Lensman’s old wingman. Though his flying fighter days are mostly behind him, his steady hand as copilot and his dubious skills with a sniper rifle keep him vital to the team.
  • Vorcha “Lord” (Trader & Financier): The aristocrat of the group, Vorcha ensures lucrative deals and access to high-end resources, despite his taste for luxury and the finer things in life.
  • Greedy (Vanguard): A fearless ex-Marine who charges headfirst into combat. His recklessness is tempered only by his sense of responsibility for his son.
  • Greedy Junior (Ground Specialist & Pilot): Following in his father’s footsteps, Junior is a skilled ground fighter and an up-and-coming pilot, eager to prove himself.
  • m0rf4r (Intelligence & Salvage): A shadowy figure with a murky past, mOrf4r handles recon, data operations, and salvage. His enigmatic nature unnerves allies and enemies alike.
Known Associates
  • Laks Grayson (aka Race Name Spacehammer) (Racer & Medic): Kal’s wife and an ex-Marine medic, Laks splits her time between combat support and high-speed racing, embodying a youthful counterpoint to her husband. She sometimes steps in if her husbands mining operations takes him further afield.
  • Neosat (Escort Ace): A fighter pilot loyal to Lensman and Kal since the war. Neosat’s fighter escort skills ensure the Lenscrew’s operations are rarely interrupted by enemy interference.
  • Vreedan (Trader): The wily old trader who’s dependable and jolly nature always brings that extra to any operation.

Fleet Capabilities
The Lenscrew’s fleet reflects their adaptability:

Hammerhead (Hammer of Nocturne): Their flagship and primary weapon of war, capable of defending against swarms or taking on large ships.

Carrack (Beholders Eye): A multi-role ship for exploration and long-duration missions, equally suited to frontier reconnaissance or salvage. This is their main ship between contracts.

Polaris & Perseus (as required): Available through undisclosed means, these ships are deployed for large-scale operations.

Arrastra & Reclaimer: Brought in for mining and salvage operations, ensuring no profitable opportunity is wasted.

Operations & Notoriety
Operating in both Nyx and Pyro, the Lenscrew thrives in the lawless zones of the galaxy. Their connection to Pyro’s Citizens of Pyro gives them access to lucrative black-market deals, and their rumored ties to the Headhunters ensure they are left unchallenged by local gangs.

The Lenscrew’s reputation for reliability and ruthlessness has made them sought-after, though their blurred morality—accepting jobs from both lawful and illicit contractors—has earned them enemies within the UEE. Despite this, Lensman’s strict code of loyalty to his crew and clients ensures they remain respected and feared across the Stanton and Pyro systems.
