Welcome to LimeStar Industries, an organisation dedicated to transporting and selling goods so you don’t have to worry about going to dangerous systems for that ship part you wanted! Feel free to browse the member list and check our recruitment section if you want to join us in our travels!
In the year 2700, a new trading organization ‘LimeStar’ was created by a small cluster of traders. The traders felt that larger and better-known trading companies were forcing small traders out of business, so this organisation was created to allow solo traders to communicate and work together, as well as giving them a voice in the industry. The number of traders working as part of ‘LimeStar’ gradually increased until a keen investor came across the organisation. This person saw potential in the ideology that ‘LimeStar’ holds and decided to support our development, providing members with heavy duty hauling vessels and a small collection of heavily armed escort vessels.
20 years after this investment, the core members of the organisation decided that it would be far more practical to form a corporation. This would allow better management of the business as well as making further expansion viable and easy to monitor. LimeStar Industries was born…
For more than a century, we focused primarily on implementation of systems to facilitate the tracking and shipping of our deliveries, additionally designing a P2P-based network that allowed fast and simple communication between mission control and the now vast number of ships travelling across the galaxy. We had developed a huge fleet of escort fighters and cargo vessels and had established ourselves as a major force, competing with major trading corporations far more experienced than us.
The stability of the company took a large hit during mid-2852. An economic collapse rattled more than a quarter of the galaxy and a great number of traders were suddenly unable to continue working for a profit. Eventually conflict arose in our primary area of operation, prompting the directors to discuss the best course of action. After much deliberation, it was unwillingly determined that the safest option would be to freeze what was left of the company and disperse until the situation stabilised.
Now we’re back!
We are currently a very small group of traders and transporters, and we need your help to get this organisation back to the thriving condition it was in long ago. We aim to gather as many skilled, enthusiastic and friendly members as possible and re-establish what was once the most important organisation for small traders!
From the Founder: “LimeStar Industries exists to provide the most enjoyable working experience when it comes to trading and logistics, not to mention being recognised by many as one of the most forward-thinking logistics services in the galaxy. We are always happy to welcome apprentices and strive to ensure the happiness of not only our team but also the clients we serve every day.”

>> All members of LimeStar Industries are to be awarded different ranks as they gain experience and become more knowledgeable and skilled in the world of trading. Members are assigned the lowest rank upon joining, Initiate, and are able to progress all the way up to the highest rank, Navarch. The freedom for LimeStar members to choose their destiny within the organisation is critical to upholding the feeling of community and kinship throughout LimeStar, while also pushing members to achieve their goals.
>> The ranking system is as follows:

In order to ensure the safety of our members and maintain good relations with other organisations, it is of paramount importance that all members of LimeStar Industries abide by these rules:
——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
>> All members of LimeStar Industries should ensure that they are well trained in the operation of their vessel before carrying cargo into a port or landing zone. Slight mistakes while manoeuvring in a busy area can very easily result in potentially catastrophic damage to ships, cargo and the surrounding area as well as posing a huge threat to the lives of the pilot and crew.
>> Ensure that both handheld and ship weapons are disarmed or stowed when not needed, as accidental discharge of weapon projectiles can damage other ships and will almost certainly result in problems within monitored space.
>> When flying in crowded or dangerous space, ensure that you have at least one crew member/co-pilot to help you if possible. Once you feel you have total control over the ship’s movement this is not as important.
>> Make use of ‘Autoland’ systems when available, so as to minimise the risk of any accidents during landing and to make the process simpler for the pilot.
>> If you are about to carry out a mission which requires you to fly through Vanduul occupied space, DO NOT CONTINUE unless you have at least ONE HEAVY ESCORT, TWO MEDIUM ESCORTS or THREE LIGHT ESCORTS ready to commit to the mission with you.
——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
>> Send frequent updates regarding the status of your mission back to a member who is currently handling mission control, so that we can notify you of any new dangers and record your location and situation, should you experience any difficulties.
>> Inform a member who is currently handling mission control before you enter a communications dark zone. It is vital that we know your position and heading before you proceed so that additional support can be dispatched should you not reappear within a calculated time.

++ IF YOU HAVE TIME AND DISTANCE FROM THE ATTACKERS, TRY TO FLEE. While they are far away from you, you should utilise this advantage and evade them with the assistance of quantum drive and jump points. If required, allow significant deviation from your original route, taking care to avoid entering hazardous space.
++ IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO EVADE THE THREAT, CONSIDER THE VALUE OF YOUR CARGO. Before you are stopped, think about what is in your hold and whether it’s worth defending. If you think that you should fight for it and you feel you have enough firepower and skill, you may make an attempt to intimidate or even destroy the offending ships. Carry out thorough analysis of the vessels to help you decide whether to resist or not. If you do win this battle and still have a functional communications array, contact mission control ASAP so that we can escort you back to safety or rescue you if necessary.
++ IF YOU DECIDE THAT YOU SHOULDN’T DEFEND YOUR CARGO, ALLOW THEM TO TAKE IT. The attackers will not want to waste time. If you appear to be stalling they may suspect that you are waiting for backup. Make it easy for them to move the cargo or if they must board, keep a handgun on you but stand down and do not interfere. If they threaten to kill you or destroy your ship afterwards, all you can do is explain that you helped make their job easier, but your best response to this kind of situation will be dependent on numerous factors. Once the threat has left the system, contact mission control and we will guide you back if necessary.
++ ALWAYS PUT ON AN EVA SUIT AS SOON AS YOU CAN IF THERE IS ONE AVAILABLE. This will ensure that you are safe in the event of depressurisation or if any harmful/toxic substances are present within the vessel’s atmosphere. It may also help in manoeuvring around the ship should the artificial gravity be disabled for any reason.
++ CHECK FOR FIRE. In a debilitated ship, fire can very quickly result in incapacitation or death. Locate the nearest fire extinguisher and carefully check each section of your ship. If thick smoke is obscuring your view, attempt to ventilate the ship using external doors if you have access to an EVA suit.
