The Lost Order of Armitage (LOA) is a group of colonists, merchants and ex-military bound by the desire to see humanity reclaim its lost colony on Armitage (Orion III). Based in Vega, members of the LOA work the frontier looking for anything that will give humanity an edge over the vanduul in Orion.

History

While officially abandoned and heavily bombarded by Vanduul antimatter bombs in the 2680’s a small group of holdouts continues to live on Armitage, all but forgotten by the empire. Usually content to keep to themselves in their underground redoubts, occasionally members of this group of rugged and determined colonists brave the dangerous journey to return to UEE controlled space. The LOA was founded by one such colonist, Samuel “Freejack” Bradley and former naval pilot Anthony “Brimstone” Pullman.
The LOA was founded in 2926 after a chance meeting between “Freejack” and “Brimstone” on a small service platform in Vega. Sharing a strong desire to see Armitage liberated and a deep frustration that the UEE was not doing more, they decided to start actively recruiting other likeminded spacers and organizations on the frontier to help bring about an end to the vanduul presence in Orion.
Today the LOA works with other organizations and operations, such as Operation Pitchfork, to liberate Armitage and restore the ‘western’ frontier of human expansion.

Manifesto

The LOA is committed to the liberation of Orion and the general expansion of humanities influence in the galaxy, whether or not the UEE assists. Whether it’s direct combat, scouting missions into vanduul space, or providing logistical support and search and rescue for other organizations with similar goals, members of the LOA always strive to contribute to the efforts to push back the vanduul frontier.

Charter

The Lost Order of Armitage is united by the drive to liberate the Orion system from the marauding Vanduul clans. While our primary purpose can be seen as military in nature, we strive to use all tools at our disposal to bring about freedom for the colonists abandoned by the UEE. This includes espionage into vanduul controlled systems, combat missions against vanduul targets, logistical support for other anti-vanduul operations and organizations and general support for the frontier colonies.
As human unity is a key to success against the vanduul hoards, we do not condone piracy, open acts of rebellion against the UEE, or acts of fraud or aggression against others along the vanduul frontier. In the event of unavoidable intra species combat we seek to minimize the unnecessary destruction of hulls and death of crew, unless deemed necessary by system or UEE level authorities for the greater good.
