The Medical Council is the regulatory body for doctors. It has a statutory role in protecting the public by promoting the highest professional standards among doctors practicing in the Galactic System.
The Medical Council maintains the Register of Medical Practitioners.
History
The Medical Council regulates medical doctors. The Council’s purpose is to protect the public by promoting and better ensuring high standards of professional conduct and professional education, training and competence among doctors.
The Medical Council’s Statement of Strategy, outlines how the Council is going to achieve a number of very specific objectives in the period.
The Medical Council is funded by the annual payments of registered doctors.
Manifesto
The Medical Council’s key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the “Register of Medical Practitioners”, check if your doctor is registered to legally work.
- Ensuring the highest standards of medical training and education.
- Promoting good medical practice and overseeing doctors’ continuing professional development.
- Investigating complaints against medical doctors.
This council welcomes anyone who is interested in the role of medical services in star citizen. and we encourage those to join our council to display it as a proud badge of service. This council isn’t compulsory with attendance and it is mainly for people who share the same interests from a social aspect.
