For millennia, mankind gazed outward in awe and wonder of the heavens until a brave few launched into the deep to go where no one before had dared. They said it was impossible, they called it a moonshot, but everything is impossible until someone dares to do it.

We do not fight for a corporation, a government, or a syndicate.
We fight for each other.
Come shoot the moon with us.
For millennia, mankind gazed outward in awe and wonder of the heavens until a brave few launched into the deep to go where no one before had dared. They said it was impossible, they called it a moonshot, but everything is impossible until someone dares to do it.
Now engulfed in the depths of the black, besieged by the alien, the corrupt, and the cowardly, and separated by vast distances humanity must look inward to the frontier of our own hearts. We must once again find the courage to strive for greatness, to reclaim what others have abandoned as lost forever. To stand against fear, doubt, and mediocrity. To remember again that all things are possible for those who believe.
Even when the odds are impossible.
Even when they call it a moonshot.
*We don’t fight for a corporation, a government, or a syndicate.
We fight for each other.*
We fight because the greatest threat to humanity has never been in depths beyond but has always been from within.
Together like those who dared before us, we will once again rekindle the spirit of awe and wonder which first carried mankind into the unknown.
We will challenge the impossible and remind the verse what humanity can become when courage triumphs over fear. We seek neither the comfortable nor the complacent, but those who still believe that greatness is worth striving for, no matter the cost.
If you are among those few who would dare to strive for greatness—or die trying—
Come shoot the moon with us!
THE CHARTER OF MOONSHOT
TRUTH · COURAGE · LOYALTY
Founding Charter
PREAMBLE
Throughout history, greatness has been achieved by individuals who dared to challenge the impossible, confront adversity, and venture beyond the limits of convention.
Moonshot was founded upon that same spirit.
We are a brotherhood of independent individuals united by the pursuit of excellence and the belief that, while each of us may accomplish extraordinary things alone, we can achieve more together—and find greater meaning in doing so.
We value individual freedom, strength of character, and loyalty freely given. We are not united by profession, allegiance, or obligation, but by our shared commitment to Truth, Courage, and Loyalty.
We do not fight for a corporation, a government, or a syndicate.
We fight for each other.
ARTICLE I — IDENTITY AND PURPOSE
1.1 — The Pursuit of Excellence
Moonshot exists to unite individuals who aspire to excellence in whatever endeavors they choose.
Excellence is a continuing pursuit, founded upon strength of character, personal growth, and the willingness to confront Truth.
1.2 — Strength Through Brotherhood
We recognize that exceptional individuals can accomplish even greater things through cooperation and shared experience.
Moonshot exists to create those opportunities without diminishing individual independence.
1.3 — Individual Freedom
Every Vanguard is free to pursue their own ambitions and determine their own path, provided their actions remain consistent with the founding principles of Moonshot.
ARTICLE II — THE THREE PILLARS
2.1 — TRUTH
Truth is the foundation of excellence.
We shall seek to understand reality as it is, question our assumptions, acknowledge our mistakes, and confront uncomfortable truths without regard for pride or convenience.
We value honesty, reason, and intellectual humility above comfortable falsehood.
Without Truth, excellence is an illusion.
2.2 — COURAGE
Courage is the willingness to act upon our convictions despite fear, adversity, or the possibility of failure.
We shall accept responsibility for our actions, confront challenges with determination, and possess the courage to admit when we are wrong.
Without Courage, Truth remains powerless.
2.3 — LOYALTY
Loyalty binds us to our principles and to one another.
We shall honor our commitments, respect our fellow Vanguard, and never knowingly betray the trust of the brotherhood.
Loyalty shall never require dishonesty, blind obedience, or the abandonment of conscience.
We are loyal to our principles because they define us. We are loyal to one another because we choose to stand together.
ARTICLE III — THE VANGUARD
3.1 — Membership
Membership is open to anyone who sincerely aspires to Truth, Courage, and Loyalty.
Members who have completed the Aspirant stage shall bear the title of Vanguard.
Aspirant: New members on the path, proving their commitment to Moonshot’s principles.
Excellence is an aspiration, not a prerequisite.
3.2 — Equality and Independence
All members of Moonshot possess equal dignity regardless of experience, wealth, accomplishment, or position.
Every Vanguard retains the freedom to pursue their own ambitions and activities.
3.3 — Voluntary Assistance
Vanguard are encouraged to assist one another, share knowledge, and cooperate in collective endeavors.

Vanguard: Independent members who constitute the brotherhood.

A Warden is an individual member of the Council, entrusted with advising the Archon, assisting organizational governance, and safeguarding Moonshot’s principles.
Leadership represents responsibility, not personal superiority.
4.2 — The Archon
The Archon retains final authority over organizational policies, appointments, diplomacy, and membership decisions.
As first among equals, the Archon shall exercise authority in accordance with the Charter and give sincere consideration to the Council’s advice.
4.3 — The Council of Wardens
Wardens are appointed by the Archon based on character, judgment, and commitment to Moonshot’s principles.
The Council advises the Archon, represents the Vanguard, assists with administration, and reviews disputes.
The Council serves in an advisory capacity except where specific authority is delegated by the Charter or Archon.
4.4 — Individual Independence
Leadership shall not dictate the personal pursuits or convictions of Vanguard.
Participation in collective activities remains voluntary, though commitments freely undertaken are expected to be honored.

The permanent Archon resumes full authority upon their return.
4.6 — Permanent Succession

The Archon may designate a successor.
If permanent succession becomes necessary without an eligible designated successor, the Council shall select a new Archon by a two-thirds majority vote.

The Archon and all Wardens remain subject to Truth, Courage, and Loyalty.
Vanguard retain the right to question leadership decisions and express good-faith disagreement without retaliation.
ARTICLE V — CONDUCT AND BROTHERHOOD

Vanguard may pursue any profession or activity within the ‘verse, lawful or unlawful, provided their actions remain consistent with Moonshot’s principles.
5.2 — Brotherhood First
No member shall knowingly act against Moonshot or another member of the brotherhood.
Where personal ambitions or outside obligations directly conflict with the interests of the brotherhood, loyalty to Moonshot takes precedence.
5.3 — Conflicts of Interest
Members who unknowingly find themselves in opposition shall make a good-faith effort to disengage upon discovering the conflict.
Unintentional conflicts shall not automatically constitute wrongdoing.
5.4 — Dispute Resolution
Members are encouraged to resolve disagreements directly and respectfully.
Unresolved disputes shall be brought before the Council, where all parties may present their accounts, evidence, and witnesses.
The Wardens shall examine the facts impartially and recommend a resolution to the Archon.
Wardens directly involved in a dispute shall recuse themselves.

Decisions shall be based upon evidence, fairness, and the founding principles of Moonshot.
The Archon retains final disciplinary authority.

6.1 — Independence
Moonshot recognizes no external authority over its internal governance or founding principles.
6.2 — External Membership
Vanguard may belong to other organizations, including those whose interests occasionally compete with Moonshot.
Such affiliations are permitted provided they do not result in knowingly acting against Moonshot or its members.
6.3 — Conflicting Allegiances
When outside obligations conflict directly with loyalty to Moonshot, the brotherhood takes precedence.
Members shall withdraw from conflicting activities in good faith.
6.4 — Diplomacy
Moonshot may establish alliances, mutual defense agreements, trade agreements, declarations of neutrality, and declarations of hostility.
The Archon retains final diplomatic authority after consulting the Council.
No member may independently commit Moonshot to external agreements or conflicts without authorization.
6.5 — Hostile Organizations
Members are prohibited from knowingly aiding, cooperating with, or materially supporting organizations formally declared hostile to Moonshot.
Members affiliated with newly designated hostile organizations must withdraw from those affiliations and disclose unresolved conflicts to the Council.
Incidental contact without intentional assistance does not constitute a violation.
6.6 — Voluntary Participation
No member is required to participate in military or other collective operations.
However, choosing not to participate does not permit aiding Moonshot’s declared enemies or undermining the brotherhood.
ARTICLE VII — AMENDMENT AND PRESERVATION
7.1 — Amendment Authority
The permanent Archon may amend this Charter after consulting the Council.
Council approval is not required, but meaningful consultation is mandatory.
7.2 — Transparency
All amendments shall be documented and communicated to the membership.
The current Charter shall remain accessible to all members.
Amendments shall not impose retroactive disciplinary penalties.
7.3 — Preservation
The Charter may evolve with Moonshot, but amendments shall be undertaken with respect for its founding purpose and principles.
An Acting Archon may not amend the Charter.
CLOSING DECLARATION
We recognize that greatness is not bestowed by title, granted by authority, or guaranteed through association.
It must be pursued.

We are independent in ambition, united in principle, and bound by loyalty freely given.
We shall seek Truth, demonstrate Courage, and honor Loyalty.
We shall strive for excellence in all that we choose to pursue.
We are Moonshot.
