Manifesto

MAVIS will conduct itself according to the ideals of its founding in 2947, which are as follows:

  1. IN ADHERENCE with the concept of ‘Freedom of Information’, MAVIS must provide information to the people of the empire regardless of the consequences to MAVIS, or other party, of publication;
  2. REGARDING the dangers of where information comes from, MAVIS will not discriminate against sources based on the origin of their market, be it white, grey, or black;
  3. DENOUNCING the idea of misinformation, MAVIS will verify the authenticity of its sources and their information prior to publication;
  4. ABHORRING the culture of hit-and-run reporting by the press, MAVIS will stick with stories, not only during the action, but the aftermath as well;
  5. ACCEPTING that the flow of information and news is already established, MAVIS will not report on topics that are considered mainstream, unless MAVIS is the one breaking the information;
  6. MAVIS will never give any group or individual “special treatment” in how they are portrayed in our reporting;

The following are the unbreakable laws which apply to all associated parties:

  1. One’s life is the most valuable asset, thus it is in the mutual interest of the company and the employee that their life must be protected at any cost;
  2. Assets, shipments, information, customers, or any form of company product or service is to be protected to any extent that doesn’t cause a violation of article 1;
  3. Understanding, accepting, and embracing the dangerous risks of the universe is a vital part of one’s work, therefore employees dispel any responsibility of MAVIS for loss of life, liberty, property, or health; issues relating to these are to be solved internally;
  4. One is expected to exhaust all possibilities before aborting a started project, job, or any other form of work;
  5. Discrimination, intolerance, and hate-speech are unacceptable from any individual in MAVIS, therefore it is mandated that employees must report violations;
  6. While employed by MAVIS, employees shall make no mention or allusion to areas involving myth, pseudoscience, and any other statement that isn’t verifiable;
  7. Employees accept that MAVIS shall not be held responsible for their actions; Employees will understand that MAVIS will do all in its power to protect its employees from injustice; Employees will understand that MAVIS will do all in its power to defend the actions of its employees; Employees will understand the relevant legal protections provided to them by the U.E.E. or any other government;
  8. Employees will accept the tradition of employee work legally belonging to the employer; Employees will understand that MAVIS will adhere to all standards of business and copyright law;
  9. MAVIS shall recognize the important quality of on-the-spot judgement, and the decisions made on that judgement;
  10. MAVIS shall recognize the power for this document to be changed to meet the unpredictable future; Changes are: initiated through the power of the Director and ratified by a ¾ Senate majority, created and implemented with the authority of a MAVIS founder;
  11. Employees are to adhere to their respective department’s charter in addition to the Universal Charter;
