The Mercury Star Runner Owners Club was founded during the first reveal and concept sale of Crusader Industries’ Mercury Star Runner transport and data courier.
From concept to reality, the Mercury Star Runner developed a passionate cult following. It is a ship people love — a ship they can live aboard while traveling the verse, a ship with more versatility and function than nearly anything else in its class. It rides the perfect line between form and function, reminding us that a ship is never just a vehicle or a collection of components. It becomes a home we connect with every time we step aboard.
When the Mercury Star Runner became flight-ready in 2950, she took Stanton by storm. She had evolved from the original concept, drawing more polarized opinions from some, but the overwhelming consensus was clear: this was the ship captains wanted to live on, work on, and pour their hearts into. She handled like a dream and could do nearly anything a pilot dreamed of.
In 2951 the Mercury Star Runner reached the finals of the Ship Showdown, earning an impressive second place after defeating the MISC Razor, Aegis Sabre, and Origin 600i. She lost the championship by less than half a percent to the Argo MPUV after battling neck-and-neck the entire time — proving she can stand with the best ships in the ‘verse.
In 2952 the Mercury Star Runner returned stronger than ever to the Ship Showdown. She advanced to the semi-finals and once again secured an impressive second-place finish overall, with the Anvil Carrack taking the championship. As one of the top four finalists alongside the Carrack, RSI Scorpius, and Argo C8X Pisces, she earned a limited edition Best in Show 2952 paint and challenge coin — a proud milestone celebrated by the entire club.
Members of the Mercury Star Runner Owners Club also organized and hosted the very first “Crusader Day” when Orison was released to the Persistent Universe, celebrating the home of Crusader Industries and everything it represents.
The Mercury Star Runner Owners Club now stands as the central hub of networking among Crusader-oriented organizations. We warmly welcome owners of all Crusader vessels — from the Ares to the Genesis and everything in between — and look forward to growing our family of captains for years to come.
A community of captains united in our passion for the Mercury Star Runner and driven to share that passion across the ‘Verse.
Here at the Mercury Star Runner Owners Club, our mission is to share our united passion for the MSR across the stars! We provide a welcoming environment where MSR captains can freely network and discuss all things MSR — from maintenance tips and profitable routes to internal equipment sales.
The MSROC is proudly based out of Orison on planet Crusader — the heart of Crusader Industries where all their vessels are designed and manufactured. Twice each year we sponsor and organize “Crusader Day”, a public celebration of Orison, Crusader Industries, and the iconic Mercury Star Runner.
Speed. Style. Community. These are the principles we fly by.
Catering to governments and the private sector alike, Crusader Industries’ Star Runner chassis raises the bar on speed and efficiency while remaining a stalwart of reliability.
“The Mercury ticks all the boxes expected of a dependable courier vessel, and then some. Whatever you’re transporting, there’s nothing safer or more secure than the Mercury. Like everything we produce, the Mercury is built with the same engineering and design principles that have made Crusader the go-to manufacturer for galactic transport on every scale.” — Crusader Industries
The Mercury Star Runner is a midsize cargo and data courier designed by Crusader Industries and manufactured in the Stanton system. The MSR has become wildly popular, particularly among freelance captains, and has even seen use with the UEE military as a secure data courier and logistics craft for delivering information and crucial supplies to and from the front lines where standard communications infrastructure is unavailable or unreliable.
The MSROC is a casual social club built in the spirit of a classic yacht club — a welcoming community for captains who share a passion for the Mercury Star Runner and all Crusader vessels. Founded in 2948, we gather to celebrate the MSR, share knowledge, make friends, and enjoy the verse together. Whether you own an MSR or simply love the ship, you’re welcome here.
