Not all pirates are evil, not all judges are honest, and anyone can be a hero.
Welcome to the Night Shift.
So the story goes that there has always been a Midnight Crew. Not in any grand, noble sense, but more like a weird smell on that one side of town that everyone knows about but nobody can really identify. We’re that weird smell.
No, wait, that’s stupid. Let me start over…
Supposedly there has always been a Midnight Crew, in the sense that there has always been a bunch of working stiffs who got together at a local watering hole and compared scars, swapped stories, and grumbled about how things “weren’t right.” Sometimes, one or two of this bunch was way more educated than they had any business being, and they would usually be pretty dissatisfied with their lot. Typically, this discontent would spread to the others in the bunch, and before you know it, talk gets hushed, moods turn dark, and a bunch of working stiffs are talking about taking what they feel they’s owed.
So back in the early 2700’s, when the Navy was abandoning their scuttled starships in the Cathcart system, a bunch of working stiffs starting going AWOL in the bowels of those wrecked hulls. Over time, when the sky full of jetsam started pulling together into the pseudo-planet we know as Spider, little businesses in clandestine dealings started popping up all over the place. One of these little Orgs, made up of honest guys just looking to get paid, made themselves available as all-purpose gofers.
Turns out, gofer-ing pays alright.
These days, the Midnight Crew is a lot more official, marginally more organized, and just as discrete as ever.
When you need to do something impossible, you need someone crazy enough to do it. Our specialists can handle any job, great or small, with style enough to spare.
We are not criminals. We are not soldiers. We are specialists who understand that some jobs require more flexibility than the daylight hours allow.
We of the Midnight Crew hold to the belief that not all pirates are evil, not all judges are honest, and anyone can be a hero.
Who’s asking?
