We are the Wandering Ronin, the Lordless Knights, the Tarnished Paladins

We seek those of the appropriate Honor, Skill, and Temperament
Like the fraternities/sororities and secret societies of old Earth our ranks grow by invitation alone

Let All Who Wander Know They are No Longer Lost

History

Heading Two We are the Wandering Ronin, the Lordless Knights, the Tarnished Paladins.

The Nomadic Order of Errant Paladins, Ronin, and Knights, also known as the Wandering Ronin, was founded in 2884 by a group of survivors of the Lost Squadron, Squadron 88. The soldiers disappeared and faked their deaths, sending only 1 survivor back to the UEE to protect their desertion. These UEE soldiers who were disillusioned by the Messer era and wanted to start anew. They left the military due to the corruption that led to their home system being under-protected, ripe for attack form the Vanduul. They left in order to create a new life that was free from the restrictive rules and false honor of the UEE. Along they way, they found more like themselves.

They wandered the galaxy for months. Using their unique talents to do the things the UEE was not doing for its people, while they searched for a new home. Along the way, they found other soldiers, marines, and citizens of possessing a certain level of skill, an even temperament, and boundless honor. These Paladins, Ronin, Knights, and Samurai all agreed with the founders. With the fall of the Messer’s, there was not a place for them in this galaxy. So they joined the Wanderers and they eventually settled in the Leir System on Leir 3. Where they found a group of people with no one to protect them from the elements, pirates, or themselves.

The collection of skilled people wanting to start anew, became an order of protectors that wanted to bring some level of order to where they lived and disappear from the rest galaxy. Where once other settlers feared the lawlessness and the Pirates that plagued the planet. They now could focus on expanding and living with the Valakkars that roamed the sands. They helped protect and develop settlements and brought order to the lawless place. They became a respected and feared group of mercenaries and traders.

As the years passed, the Wandering Ronin became known for their code of conduct, which emphasized Honor, Skill, and Temperament. Many other groups in the galaxy sought their services, as they knew that the Ronin would always fulfill their contracts and uphold their word. But while the founders wanted to provide a haven for those that want to disappear, they also understood that people change. They wanted to allow for their ideals to spread elsewhere. They designed their Order to allow its members to join other organizations. Much like the fraternities, sororities, and secret societies of old Earth, Wandering Ronin are encouraged to grow in other orgs. But to answer if called upon to defend the order and to not harm other members. The Wandering Ronin may not always operate within the law, but they do not kill without reason and are a generally more honorable form of privateer.

This is how they really became a Nomadic Order. Allowing their members to always seeking out new opportunities and adventures. They would often travel to different systems and planets, taking on new contracts and trading goods. Their reputation continued to grow, and they became known as one of the most formidable and reliable groups in the galaxy.

Today, the Wandering Ronin continue to operate as a respected organization, with many members still living and protecting the Leir System. While many others have joined different organizations, militaries, and companies around the galaxy. Their code of honor remains at the core of their beliefs, and they continue to be a beacon of hope for those seeking a new start in the galaxy.

“Are all who Wander, Lost?”
“No, Withered Traveler, you have a home here.”

Manifesto

In a galaxy of wandering souls,
An order of Paladins & Ronin roam.
Forged by honor, by their ship and the sword.
Their journey’s path forever unexplored.

They move in silence, swift and strong,
Their bond unbroken, their wills unswung.
Through the stars high and valleys low,
They tread the earth, where none dare go.

Their spirits free, their hearts ablaze,
Their lives devoted to the warrior’s ways.
With every step, a quest for truth,
And every blade, a symbol of their youth.

They seek no fame, no illustrious prize,
Their souls unburdened, their spirits rise.
Their life is simple, their cause is just,
Their swords remain, their loyalty a must.

They defend the weak from the would be griefer
And die protecting those that they call brother or sister
One often wonders if the Ronin are friend or foe
They’re both pirate and Paladin, Grace wrapped in shadow.

Whether they be a Tarnished Paladin , or Errant knight
Welcomed fighters from many worlds and orgs that fight.
Those that prey on Citizens like bloated ticks.
And follow the orders mantra no griefing and NO PRICKS

So let the Ronin wander on,
Their brotherhood forever strong.
For in this galaxy of endless strife,
Their bond endures, the Wandering Ronin’s life.

Charter

We have a few simple rules:

  1. No Pricks: This the most important rule and all below rules will expand on this point. Just be a nice human. (or other)
  1. No Griefing: This is defined as Screen Sniping, Pad Ramming, and personally attacking someone’s character via chat, IRL, or across game servers. This also means you can pirate to your heart’s desire. Steal the loot, raid the bunker, take all someone hard earned money. Have at it. Just don’t be a jerk about it. Try to give them an out. But protect yourselves.
  1. No Bigotry or Racism: Continuing the Vibe from above. All are welcome. Man, woman, alien, or other are welcome. ZERO Tolerance for attacking someone’s personal character. This also means that during your pirate escapades, please try to keep your rhetoric clean-ish and don’t be a jerk.
  1. Have Fun RP or No RP: This is a game, real life comes first. But don’t make it more than real life. This is a game. Whether you RP or Not, just have fun.
  1. Don’t Kill other members: (Unless they asked you for a duel of course) This means if someone identifies themselves as a member and they are in the roster, just skip killing them. Much like the Masons of Old Earth, don’t kill them, or the ship they are on. And they in turn will not shoot you and allow you to do what you were doing without retaliation. If they are unsuccessful in convincing their crew to not kill you in retaliation, then they should leave that ship out of the first available exit.
