History

Oblivion’s Disgrace was founded in 2956 by an ex-United Empire of Earth (UEE) military officer code-named “The Phantom” and began as a small band of citizens intent on working together to build and support each other’s endeavors in the verse. During the Molina Mold outbreak in Nyx, members participated diligently in the “Clearing the Air” campaign, but that’s when their eyes were opened.

In 2618, the UEE’s Messer regime had forced political activists and refugees to flee the UEE and settle in an abandoned asteroid mining facility on Delamar, and these citizens founded The People’s Alliance of Levski. The UEE, so focused on providing relief to The People’s Alliance of Levski in an attempt to manipulate a repair to the damaged relationship between the two governments, failed in their duty to protect its citizens. Citizens could not utilize the cure themselves but were drafted to transport it through infected areas, exposing themselves to the virus. Many of our members succumbed to the disease, paying the ultimate price in the name of freedom and a better life that they never saw.

We had seen the rot firsthand. Contracts rewritten to favor mega corps, frontier systems stripped and abandoned, citizens buried in bureaucracy while officials traded influence like currency. Whistleblowers vanished. Veterans were discarded. Whole communities were written off as “acceptable loss.” Loyalty, we learned, only flowed upward.

We evolved. Intent on fighting the corruption of the UEE we pillaged, destroyed, assassinated, and looted. The UEE was quick to label us as extremists, but we were merely the result of a centuries long death sentence waiting to be delivered. We walked away from the Empire. Not loudly. Not heroically. We left in disgrace, and we kept the name.

Divisions & Rackets

Fleet Command

The heart and soul of the Oblivion’s Disgrace navy, the Crimson Fleet. Fleet Command supplies and runs capital ships, coordinates fighter wings, and provides air support to infantry units across the verse. Without the navy, all operations would grind to a halt.

The Vanguard

The infantry platoons of Oblivion’s Disgrace. The Vanguard specialize in FPS combat, utilizing guerilla warfare tactics and running armored tank and cavalry platoons to reinforce combat operations. This division also contains the Medical Corp, a group of dedicated combat medics who specialize in search and rescue and emergency evacuation logistics.

The Corsairs

Named after the famous and favorite pirate craft in the verse, The Corsairs run the Oblivion’s Disgrace piracy racket. They specialize in running interdiction operations, boarding UEE vessels, and ambushing UEE trade routes.

Logistics

The logistics division of Oblivion’s Disgrace runs salvage, repair, refueling, cargo routes, and resource acquisition operations. This division runs our supply lines, providing the Organization and its members with resources, loot, armor, weapons, and everything else we need to sustain our operations long term.

Special Operations Group (SOG)

The Special Operations Group is a specialized team of operatives that run covert black operations across the verse. This division is the only invite only division within the Organization, as most of its activity involves redacted. Members of this division are expected to be the most dedicated, most loyal, and operate at the highest efficiency. Applications to this division will take place within our (discord) and handled on a case-by-case basis.

Q: Should I join as a member or as an affiliate?

A: While everyone is welcome to join the discord for public events, Oblivion’s Disgrace is an exclusive organization and as such organization exclusive events are reserved for members and our allies. Q: What is visibility and what should I set it as?

A: Visibility is the option for how your name is displayed when outside citizens view our member list. Members are required to set their visibility to “Redacted”. A: It means that in Oblivion’s Disgrace, all activity is welcome and encouraged and that we strive to undermine and fight back against the UEE. Q: What time zone does Oblivion’s Disgrace operate in?

A: Oblivion’s Disgrace is active in every time zone. The majority of our founding members are currently from the US and UE time zones, however. Our organization runs dedicated time zone fleets, headed by our fleet admirals, in an effort to provide active groups engaging in operations from all around the world.

Q: How does Oblivion’s Disgrace handle role play?

A: Role play is generally confined to our organization structure and specifically tagged milsim operations which are tied to organization lore. Members are allowed to participate in the role play at their discretion, but aside from the division structure and ranks, role play is not required.

A: Feel free to join our (discord) and ask our staff. We are more than willing to answer them for you!

Manifesto

The purpose of Oblivion’s Disgrace is ultimately to build a community of likeminded players that enjoy playing Star Citizen together. Everything we do is done with this core value in mind.

Organization Lore and Development

Our goal is to provide an outstanding Star Citizen experience to as many people as possible and truly enjoy the game in a fun, exciting, and unique way. Our lore is written to fit within the established Star Citizen story and solidify our place in the history of the verse. Our legacy will be our participation in the events and development of the Alpha, future Beta, and ultimate release of Star Citizen 1.0.

Star Citizen is a Video Game

Real life always comes first, and as such we have no play time hour requirement for members and never will. If you need a break, take one. If you have IRL responsibilities, prioritize them. We want to provide a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone, not a second job. Our goal is to cater to as large an audience as possible and account for all gameplay styles.

Rules [Membership]

Exclusivity Policy

Oblivion’s Disgrace is an exclusive organization, with an exception for members of allied organizations. If your organization wishes to ally with Oblivion’s Disgrace, please reach out to a staff member in our (discord).

Visibility Policy

Members are REQUIRED to set their visibility within the organization as “redacted” as there are other groups of players that utilize language packs and third-party software to expose and track members. Redaction significantly aids in preventing this.

Mutual Aid Policy

Oblivion’s Disgrace is an anarchist rebellion and pirate organization that serves to disrupt and dismantle the United Empire of Earth (UEE). We work as a team and as such share resources. That does not mean members are not entitled to their own loot/equipment. However, in the spirit of unification, do your best to aid your fellow members as much as possible and refrain from “hogging” or “hoarding” loot and materials for yourself only.

Rules [Expulsion]

Respect Policy

There is no place in rebellion for dissent among members. This includes the ranking structure. Insubordination, spying, and leaking Organization sensitive information will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, with consequences up to and including demotion of rank and expulsion.

Non-Poaching Policy

Upon joining Oblivion’s Disgrace, you tacitly agree to avoid recruiting Organization members into any other Organizations, commonly known as ‘poaching’. Any members caught poaching will be immediately expelled. Note: this does not include affiliating with listed and verified allied Organizations.

Violation of the Exclusivity Policy

Any members found to be affiliated with other organizations, with the exception of listed allied organizations, will be expelled at the discretion of our leadership. This can take place at any time.

Non-Griefing & Exploitation Policy

Oblivion’s Disgrace is an anarchist & piracy organization at its core; however, our leadership believes that there is an incredibly important distinction between piracy as the Star Citizen universe intends and “griefing”. We do not participate in or encourage griefing. Examples of griefing include pad ramming, targeting individual players repeatedly, using exploits to gain an unfair or unintended advantage, etc. While these examples are not a list of all possible griefing activities, they should present a general idea of the kind of behavior we discourage.

NOTE: Members caught utilizing exploits including but not limited to in-game exploits or “bugs” and/or third-party applications or software are not subject to special treatment. Leadership WILL gather evidence and submit it to CIG for appropriate disciplinary action on their part. Needless to say, those members will also be blacklisted from this organization and its allies.
