Beyond every horizon lies opportunity. Obsidian Horizon is a professional expeditionary fleet where traders and mercenaries work as one — protecting convoys, supplying operations, and creating memorable large-scale events through teamwork and coordination.
2956 – Obsidian Horizon was founded with the vision of building a community centered around organised fleet operations and the partnership between trade and security.
Obsidian Horizon was founded on a simple belief: Star Citizen is at its best when experienced together.
The universe offers countless ways to make credits, but profit alone is not our goal. We believe the most memorable moments are created when people come together to accomplish something that would be impossible alone. Whether defending a convoy, crewing a capital ship, supplying a fleet, or simply exploring the unknown with friends, shared experiences are what define our community.
Our organisation is built upon two equal pillars: Trade and Security.
Trade creates opportunity. Security protects it. Neither exists without the other. A successful convoy relies on disciplined escorts, just as every combat operation depends on logistics, supplies, and support. Rather than separating these professions, we bring them together as one fleet working toward a common objective.
While these are our foundation, we welcome every profession Star Citizen has to offer. Engineers, turret gunners, medical personnel, scouts, salvagers, miners, racers, refuelers, and many others all contribute to the success of a fleet. Every role has value when people work together.
We believe cooperation is more valuable than individual gain.
We would rather fully crew one ship with a capable team than send five people off to complete separate missions alone. Large multicrew ships, coordinated operations, and organised events are at the heart of what we enjoy. Success is measured not only by the outcome of a mission, but by the experience we create together.
Obsidian Horizon is not a roleplay organisation, but we do value immersion.
During operations we ask our members to focus on their responsibilities, communicate clearly, and work toward the objective. Whether you are flying escort, managing logistics, engineering a capital ship or manning a turret, your role matters. Outside of missions, however, we are simply a group of people enjoying each other’s company—whether flying together, talking in voice chat, or relaxing somewhere in the ‘verse.
Real life always comes first.
Careers, families, education, and personal responsibilities are more important than any game. At the same time, strong communities are built by people who show up. We value regular participation, reliability and the willingness to spend time with one another both during organised events and outside of them.
Our goal is to build a welcoming community where people enjoy being—not simply another Discord server or a list of names. Whether we’re planning an operation, relaxing in voice chat or sharing a drink at a station bar, we believe the community is just as important as the missions themselves.
We value maturity over age, character over wealth, and commitment over numbers.
Whether you command a capital ship or fly an Aurora, your contribution is measured by your attitude, teamwork, and willingness to support those around you. We recruit people who fit our community, not simply to increase our member count.
Respect is fundamental. We strive to create an environment where players from every background feel welcome. Professionalism during operations, consideration for fellow members, and a positive attitude are far more important than individual skill. Mistakes happen; learning from them together is part of the journey.
Obsidian Horizon is more than a collection of pilots. We are building a community that believes the greatest adventures are built through trust, cooperation and shared purpose.
Beyond every horizon lies opportunity—and we choose to face it together.
The purpose of this Charter is to establish the principles by which Obsidian Horizon operates. It is not intended to be an exhaustive rulebook, but a shared understanding of the standards and expectations that allow our community to thrive.
Obsidian Horizon is built around teamwork, mutual respect and cooperation. Every member contributes to the community regardless of experience, profession or the size of their fleet.
We welcome players from all backgrounds and believe that diversity of people and playstyles strengthens our organisation.
A strong community depends on active members.
Real life always comes first, but we ask members to remain part of the community through regular participation. We value consistent presence over long hours, and encourage members who take extended breaks to simply rejoin when they return.
Organised events are at the heart of Obsidian Horizon.
During operations we expect members to:
Professionalism during an operation allows everyone to enjoy the experience.
Trade and Security are the two pillars of Obsidian Horizon, but every profession has a place within the fleet.
Whether you are flying escort, hauling cargo, engineering a capital ship, providing medical support, scouting ahead or manning a turret, every role contributes to the success of the operation.
Members are expected to treat one another with respect and maturity.
Harassment, discrimination, excessive toxicity or behaviour that repeatedly disrupts the community have no place within Obsidian Horizon.
Mistakes are opportunities to learn. Constructive feedback is encouraged; personal attacks are not.
Our goal is not to become the largest organisation, but to build the right community.
We recruit people who share our values and enjoy cooperating with others. Character, reliability and a willingness to contribute are valued far more than experience, wealth or the ships a member owns.
By joining Obsidian Horizon, every member agrees to support these principles and help foster a welcoming, dependable and enjoyable community for everyone.
Together we build more than a fleet—we build a place people are proud to call home.
