Based in Stanton, the Octonium Group is a collection of private interests united by the principle that society should serve the potential of each and every individual. Through science and exploration, through freelance security, and by other means, we work to empower and protect that potential.
Founded in 2951, The Octonium Group began as a response to the XenoThreat incursions from Pyro into the Stanton System. As a former veteran of the UEE Navy and a trained fighter pilot, founder TekkerTen was among the first pilots to respond to the deputization of a Stanton Civilian Defense Force under Advocacy Agent Rowena Dulli. With his military pension, and with the considerable bounties earned during this and subsequent conflicts against criminal organizations such as XenoThreat and the Nine Tails, Tekker has invested heavily in exploratory, mercenary, and industrial spacecraft and equipment. By leveraging these resources on behalf of Stanton’s citizens, and by expanding these investments into other systems, Tekker intends to create opportunities for research and colonization in uninhabited space, to offer protection when the UEE is unwilling or unable to do so, and to extend grants and resources that foster ethical science, culture, and progess within and without the UEE.
Our mandate is to invest in the future of humanity, and of sentience at large, in such a way as to cultivate a return on that investment. How do we measure our success? First and foremost, by the happiness, the fulfillment, and the growth of those individuals who are affected by our actions. Keeping this focus ensures that our resources are used to the greatest possible effect, it provides natural and sustainable opportunities for financial growth, and it keeps us perpetually on the right side of history.
Our focus is on exploration, on civil defense actions, and on such business ventures as can be used to finance the investments by which we observe and execute our mandate.
In The Octonium Group, our participation in the affairs of other Star Citizens is intended to be constructive in nature. While we do not consider the laws of the UEE to represent a meaningful moral standard, we do recognize the role of the UEE in providing for the needs of its citizens. Violating the laws of the UEE is something The Octonium Group only condones when the needs of those citizens are not being met, according to the terms of our mission and our “Manifesto.” Efforts to involve or implicate The Octonium Group or its members in unnecessary illegal activity will result in dismembership from the group, as well as any other measures that may be necessary for the protection of the Group and its members.
If there is a dispute regarding the execution of the affairs of the Group in any respect, such a dispute will be resolved according to the Founder’s judgment and discretion.

Here are some behaviors that will not be tolerated:
ABUSE. We don’t say or do anything that’s intended to hurt other people. On the internet, people can have some pretty important-sounding reasons for hurting one another. Sometimes they do it to teach a lesson or make a point, and other times they do it purely for the entertainment of themselves or others. In The Octonium Group, we call these behaviors abuse. Abusers will be removed from the community swiftly, as permanently as possible, and without debate.
HATE SPEECH. Our community accepts and welcomes all people regardless of their skin color, race, gender identity, sexual preferences, abilities, neurodivergences, age, religion, spiritual beliefs, nationality, origins, or superpowers. Any attempt to limit who feels welcome, accepted, or free to express their imaginations will be dealt with as an act of hate speech, and the people responsible will be removed from the community swiftly, as permanently as possible, and without debate.
SILENCING: Every person’s voice and perspective matters. In particular, a person who has first-hand experience with a particular issue should always be trusted to explain that issue to others. If a woman says that something is sexist, believe her. If a person of color says that something is racist, believe them. If a person from the LGBTQ community tells you something is homophobic or transphobic, believe them. If a disabled person says something is ableist, believe them. Silencing people when they are speaking, or explaining why things which they have personally experienced do not matter, is a form of abuse and will be dealt with swiftly, as permanently as possible, and without debate.
