History

UPDATE (2945-04-12): Omega-7 officially endorses Operation Pitchfork. All members are encouraged to enlist there also.

UPDATE (2945-03-25): Ranks were slightly modified. Captain and Commander names were switch to be more accurate in actual navy ranking. Board Members is now a role and their rank is now Admiral.

Omega-7 was inspired by a desire for a company that would mine and produce resources, but would be able to fend off any enemy’s that tried to get in the way. With that in mind, a PMC was formed that would do just those that.

Manifesto

Omega-7 believes that the corporation is most successfully ran in a military fashion. With that in mind, our ranks were formed along with the roles of the board. The board is the leading officials of the corp that each have a job overseeing the company.

Ranks:

RANK 0 – Spaceman – This is the new recruit rank that is held in training or rank held by affiliated party members.

RANK 1 – Ensign – This is the lowest rank that a job is associated with and thus the lowest paying. Anyone in this rank will be assisting others in ranks above them and cannot lead any operations.

RANK 2 – Lieutenant – This is the first rank where a person can lead in a mission. Those in this rank will carry out operations of resource extraction and production, and running small transport runs along with minor security enforcement. Lieutenants can also assist in larger operations under the supervision of a higher ranking officer. Lieutenants however are not allowed to fly ships with multiple crew members.

RANK 3 – Commander – Those in this rank oversee most of the transportation and security. Commanders are in charge of flying ships with multiple crew members and overseeing all the crew within.

RANK 4 – Captain – This rank is a supervising rank. Captains oversee operations of all kinds within the company and will sometimes operate high risk missions and will assist in areas where needed. Usually assigned a corporation ship.

RANK 5 – Admiral – Rank held by the Board Members and employees of great prestige. Overall leaders of the corporation.

Roles of the corporation:

Fleet Admiral- Overall owner of the corporation and in charge of the fleet as a whole.

Board Member- The board members oversee the corporation as a whole and set up all facilities the company utilizes. The members also plan out trading operations and most missions. Overseer of all the ranks in the corporation.

Marketing Director- Overseer of marketing and trading.

Recruitment Director- Overseer of new employees and assisting in placement of employees.

Charter

Introduction

Omega-7 is a Star Citizen organization which role will be a corporation with a strong focus on security. Operations and ranks will be done in a militaristic way to ensure the safety of missions and the corporation’s members. The corporation will operate under this charter to provide a reliable and expected experience for the members and clients of Omega-7.

Ranking and Roles

Fleet Admiral- Overall owner of the corporation and chairman of the Board. Oversees the corporation as a whole and has final say in all matters of internal and external conflicts.

Board Member- Overseer of a specific department and represents that department on the board. Will create missions and manage internal ranking for their department.

Admiral- Rank held from Board Members and players of great prestige. Overall leaders of the corporation.

Captain- Oversee operations of all kinds within the corporation and will sometimes operate high risk missions and assist in areas where needed. Usually assigned a corporation ship.

Commander- Oversee most of the corporation’s transportation and security and are in charge of commanding ships with multiple crew members and overseeing all the crew within.

Lieutenant- This is the first rank where a person can lead in a mission. Lieutenants can also assist in larger operations under the supervision of a higher ranking officer.

Ensign- Regular member of the corporation who can assist in most operations and missions.

Departments

The corporation is split into multiple departments listed here to provide organized management for Omega-7. Each department will have at least one Board member assigned by the Fleet Admiral to oversee the department and represent them in Board meetings.

Department of Naval Defense (DND)- Oversee security via the use of spaceships. Provide military support for corporation transport ships and any operations set by the Board that require an escort.

Department of Space Transportation (DST)- Oversee the transportation of cargo via the use of spaceships. Carry out operations of the Board that require goods to be transported from one place to another.

Department of Personnel Security (DPS)- Oversee security in FPS situations. Will provide military support in boarding party situations and personnel escorts.

Missions

The corporation will distribute missions within the game to provide jobs for the corporation members. Typical missions will be distributed on a department basis and each department will set their own payout guidelines that will later be added onto this charter.

Finances

The Omega-7 Board will oversee the finances of the corporation. A department budget will be assigned for each department and each department will provide internal budgets. An additional budget will be set aside for Board operations. The Board will vote on changes to budgets with a majority required to set the change. The using of the Board operations budget will require a majority of all members of the Board for any purchase.

The Omega-7 Board

The Fleet Admiral will set normal meeting times with one meeting required for each week of operation. Three different meeting types will exist. A private Board meeting is scheduled at least 48 hours in advance and will include only the Board members. A public Board meeting is scheduled at least 72 hours in advance and will allow corporation members to be present but unable to speak without granted permissions. An emergency Board meeting includes all Board members present at the time of calling to session or optionally all corporation members available at the time of calling to session. The Board will decide in meetings the overall goals, promotions, budgets, alliances, agreements, and anything deemed by the Board to be discussed for the corporation.

Clauses and Exceptions

Fleet Admiral Override- The Fleet Admiral has the power to override any decision made by anyone in the corporation.

Emergency Board Meeting Restriction Clause- Without at least half of the Board members present at an emergency Board meeting, budgets are unable to be dealt with at the meeting.

Board Tiebreaker- In the event of a tie in a Board meeting vote, the Fleet Admiral’s vote counts as two.
