Beginning first as a small social ‘club’ for the elite, getting drunk and sharing secrets, they eventually came to the realization that everyone, Everyone, had secrets. Some secrets were worth more than others, and with some secrets being plots and conspiracies to rise to power, or keep power in the hands of a single party, knowing all secrets would make them some of the most powerful people in the empire. Their social club turned into a secret assembly, a kind of Knighthood. Holding private initiation rituals and keeping a record of anything and everything private they could find out about anyone, or anything, deemed by them to be important: a kind of bank of secrets. Through years of favors, investments, and other less than ethical means, they had gathered enough secrets and intelligence to really become self sufficient as an information trading organization, and they did. Ever since then, OSSA has been trading underground secrets and intel to bidders. These bidders occasionally include the targets themselves.Manifesto
As the old saying goes, ‘Knowledge is Power.’ OSSA does not just acknowledge that, but understands it. We do not eliminate targets, we do not pirate physical property, we do not provide medical or mechanical aid, and we do not trade goods. We trade Secrets. Since ancient times, the most powerful of people always had the most to hide. OSSA makes it a point to learn anything and everything about everywhere, everything, and everyone. Only through this pursuit of secular knowledge can one become truly powerful.
Some people, places, or things, are, however, of little interest. Nonetheless, should we be compensated to reveal the secrets of something not on our list, it would be in our interests to find and provide the information we can.
Charter
Guidelines:
- While technically a morally neutral group, our services may be considered blackmail by the UEE, and any applicants and customers alike must keep in mind that their dealings with us may or may not result in criminal charges.
- Extracurricular criminal activity of members, while not frowned upon by us, may cause unwanted attention, and discretion is advised.
- Respect your fellow men, as you, too, have skeletons in your storage locker.
