History
ODYSSA VENATOR SECURITY LEGION, born amidst the rugged frontier of Magnus, is a merciless bounty hunting syndicate. Its inception saw a determined collective emerge from the shadows of the abandoned streets of Odyssa, armed with unorthodox starship enhancements that endowed them with a ruthless advantage in combat. Initially, the group undertook unlawful assassination missions, operating in the shadows. However, their audacious exploits drew the scrutiny of the broader security apparatus. Consequently, they transitioned to legitimate contracts, navigating the treacherous path of sanctioned missions, which ultimately proved more financially rewarding. OVSL is notorious for its morally flexible stance on justice. They consider the concept of righteousness to be a loose and malleable notion. When apprehending their bounties, they often seize the opportunity to claim the captured assets as their own, especially in cases involving contraband or illicit goods that must be offloaded through unlawful channels. Each Legionnaire operates autonomously, pursuing lesser bounties with relentless ferocity, yet they converge as an indomitable force, ready to obliterate any formidable mark or bounty horde that dares to challenge them.
Manifesto
The Legion’s code of conduct is crystal clear: no holds barred when it comes to fulfilling contracts, even if it necessitates employing unorthodox methods.
Maintaining a low profile is paramount, and discussing the Legion with outsiders is strictly forbidden – members are expected to blend seamlessly with the masses, appearing as non-affiliates. Remaining hidden in the shadows until the precise moment to strike arises is a fundamental principle, and exercising impeccable trigger discipline is deemed one of the most intelligent attributes a hunter can possess.
The singular and unwavering focus remains solely on fulfilling the contract at hand, with all other considerations set aside.Rushing through the process is discouraged, as meticulous execution is key to delivering the highest quality of service imaginable.
OVSL operates as an entirely neutral entity, devoid of any personal biases, political affiliations, or religious inclinations. The notion of revenge is utterly alien to them, as it holds no financial value.
Charter
The Legion enforces a strict policy of silence when it comes to discussing OVSL with those outside the organization.
Emotional involvement is strictly forbidden.
Thoroughly gather intelligence (6.12 in the handbook) on all targets before taking any drastic action.
Continuously communicate mission progress with fellow members to ensure no missed opportunities for mutual assistance arise.
In the event of capture, take immediate measures to eliminate any incriminating evidence linking you to OVSL, safeguarding the organization’s secrecy at all costs.
DISCLAIMER: In the event of a breach of any of these rules, OVSL operates without leniency or favoritism. The Legion will swiftly issue a bounty on the rule-breaker, who will be treated just like any other target on the list, facing the relentless pursuit and wrath of their own comrades turned bounty hunters.
