Welcome to Pack Rats Industrial – A Company That Just Won’t Die

Howdy there, stranger. If you’re readin’ this, it means you’re at least considerin’ throwin’ in with the finest bunch of half-broke, grease-stained lunatics this side of the asteroid belt. And, well, we need folks with a strong back and a stronger stomach, ‘cause this ain’t a fancy gig. This here is Pack Rats Industrial, and we don’t promise much ‘cept a fair cut, a bunk that don’t always leak, and a ship that probably won’t explode—today, anyway.

How’d We Get Here?

Well, it all started back when a few of us got sick of working for the big outfits—you know the ones, with their clean uniforms, fancy regulations, and the kind of safety protocols that cut into your payday. We didn’t have much—just a couple of derelict haulers, a half-busted refinery rig, and a dream that was mostly held together with duct tape and sheer stubbornness.
We weren’t picky. If it had metal in it, we’d mine it. If it floated dead in the black, we’d salvage it. If someone needed something moved and asked more questions than they ought to, we’d haul it—so long as the pay was good enough and the risk wasn’t too suicidal. And somehow, through sheer dumb luck and the occasional well-placed bribe, we stayed in business.

Where We At Now?

Same damn place, more or less. We got a few more ships, most of ‘em stitched together from whatever we could salvage. Every now and then, one of ‘em actually works like it’s supposed to. We got a scrapyard moonbase—don’t ask how we got it, long story—and an office that ain’t had a working front door in three years. The paperwork’s a mess, half our tools are one bad spark from catchin’ fire, and the last time we tried to upgrade our mining lasers, they nearly cut our own hull in half. But hell, we’re still flyin’.

What We’re Lookin’ For

We ain’t gonna lie to ya—this ain’t a job for the delicate. If you need security, if you want a retirement plan, if you think ”reliable equipment” is some kinda guarantee, you best look elsewhere. But if you don’t mind a little grease under your nails, if you like the sound of hull clanks over corporate chatter, and if you can handle the occasional emergency hull patch without cryin’ about it—well, you just might fit in around here.
No experience? No problem. We’ll teach ya. We all started green once, and we all learned the hard way that “manual overrides” usually mean “hit it with a wrench.” Just be ready to work, share the scraps, and never—never—ask how we got that one shipment of gold-plated space toilets.
So, whaddaya say? Ready to ride with Pack Rats Industrial? Sign on, strap in, and pray the reactor don’t hiccup while we’re burnin’ for the next job.

Manifesto

Who We Are

Pack Rats Industrial is a relaxed, friendly crew built for people who want to enjoy Star Citizen without pressure, drama, or corporate-style expectations. We’re miners, salvagers, haulers, mechanics, and problem-solvers who enjoy working together and making credits while keeping things light.

We aim to keep our community welcoming and respectful. Good-natured banter is part of frontier life, but real hostility and drama stay outside the airlock. Most of us are here to unwind after work, escape the daily grind, and fly with good people.

Casual Play & Real Life First

We are a casual organization. There are no activity quotas, attendance requirements, or pressure to grind.

Real life always comes first — jobs, families, school, and responsibilities take priority. Some members play daily, others only when time allows. Both are equally welcome.

If you can only log in occasionally, you still belong here. When you’re around, you’re part of the crew.

What We Do

Pack Rats Industrial focuses on industrial gameplay — the work that keeps the frontier running and the credits flowing.

We regularly engage in:

Mining – extracting resources from asteroid belts and planetary surfaces
Salvage & Reclamation – recovering wrecks and turning debris into profit
Cargo & Transport – hauling materials, supplies, and contracts across the system
Industrial Support – repairs, refueling, logistics, and keeping ships operational

We’re always happy to teach new players, share knowledge, and help others learn the ropes.

Play Style & Participation

Role-play is welcome but completely optional. Some members enjoy flying in-character and leaning into the frontier atmosphere, while others prefer a laid-back, out-of-character experience. Both fit comfortably within the org.

We encourage cooperation, shared profits, and helping one another succeed. Experience isn’t required — willingness to learn and contribute is what matters.

Ships, Expectations & What You’ll Find Here

You don’t need a specific ship to join. Fly what you have. If it helps mine, salvage, haul, repair, or support the crew, it has value here. Pack Rats Industrial is built on practicality, not perfection.

What we expect is simple: be respectful, help when you can, and don’t leave crew behind.

What you’ll find here is a laid-back community, group operations when people are available, guidance for new players, and a place to relax without pressure or corporate nonsense.

Pack Rats Industrial

Nothing Wasted. Nothing Easy.

If you’re looking for a crew that works together, respects real life, and enjoys the journey as much as the profit, you’ll fit right in.

Charter

Pack Rats Industrial Charter

This charter is a simple set of expectations we all agree to follow. It exists to keep the org welcoming, functional, and drama-free.

Members are expected to conduct themselves accordingly. Issues will be handled with communication first. Continued problems may result in removal from the org.

We aim for a 18+ community to match the maturity of conversation and humor, though members must be 18+ minimum. NSFW content is not permitted.

By joining Pack Rats Industrial, you agree to the following:

1. Shared Leadership

Pack Rats Industrial operates cooperatively. Major decisions, events, and direction may be decided through group discussion or voting when needed. Your voice matters — speak up when asked.

2. Respect Comes First

Be civil and respectful to everyone in the organization and the wider community. We succeed through cooperation. If conflicts arise, handle them calmly or bring them to leadership for mediation.

3. Keep It Friendly, Keep It Mature

Good humor and banter are part of frontier life. Be able to take a joke — but know where the line is. If nobody’s laughing, you may have crossed it. Harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks are not tolerated.

4. No Drama, No Griefing

We enjoy shenanigans and creative problem-solving, but griefing, trolling, or deliberately harming fellow members or org operations isn’t acceptable.

5. Fly Smart, Support the Crew

Don’t abandon crew or cargo during operations. Help when you can, share knowledge, and contribute to group success. If a member is in trouble and you’re nearby, lend a hand.

6. Discord & Communication

Please set your Discord nickname to match your Star Citizen handle when possible, and include your time zone to help with coordination.

Use appropriate channels and respect others’ play styles, including optional role-play sessions.

7. Represent the Pack

When operating with the org, represent Pack Rats Industrial with professionalism and respect toward other players and organizations. Our reputation travels faster than our ships.

8. Real Life Comes First

We are a casual org. Activity is never mandatory. Work, family, and responsibilities always take priority.

Pack Rats Industrial isn’t built on strict rules — it’s built on trust, respect, and people who pull their weight.

Break that trust, and you may be asked to move on.

Honor it, and you’ll always have a crew to fly with.
